Lenovo Yoga X380 22LH Supervisor Password removal

Hey guys,

have a laptop here that has a supervisor Password (dump in Attachements).
Before i write the Serial NR.etc i wanted to say that strangely after flashing with 3 different Bios dumps and one from lenovos site
the laptop works but everytime it wants me to type a supervisor password i never set.
I thought the supervisor password is stuck in the ec bios but no it isn't either because after replacing the ec chip from one of another board it still has the supervisor password.
Anyway i wanted to ask what of the two chips is the ec bios because on the left side of the cpu theres the bios chip and on the right side theres another eeprom but a 25Q80DV is this chip the ec bios?

Can you try to remove the password? And maybe do a clean ME?

Is the supervisor password now saved in the bios or in the ec/sio?
I will reprogramm the ec with my svod but i first want to know if its in the bios or the ec...
And maybe try a bios file from you guys

Can you try to remove the password? And maybe do a clean ME?

The Password of ThinkPad devices is stored in the SIO chip, but for some models like yours you can remove it by patching the main BIOS.
Have you tried to use "Lenovo Auto Patcher" to remove the Password?

This chip "25Q80DV" could be for Thunderbolt firmware.

Yes i tried the autopatcher and it runs trough the process and gives me a "patched" file but after flashing it still asks me for the stupid password...

In this thread (post #3247 and #3248) i found someone with the same issue:

He posted a dump and a ec file for another laptop...
So all i need is a clean dump and ec file for this X380.
Can someone please post it?

It will ask you to enter the password for one time when you are using the patched file, then it will be erased.

Have you followed the steps in that post?

[ HOW TO USE THE PATCH ]
STEP 1: Flash and replace current BIOS with the generated patch file
STEP 2: Boot the machine
STEP 3: Press ENTER/F1/etc. to enter BIOS settings
STEP 4: Enter any character when asked for Supervisor Password
STEP 5: Press enter when it shows Hardware ID
STEP 6: Press space bar 2x when asked
STEP 7: Turn off machine
STEP 8: Restore original BIOS
STEP 9: Reset BIOS settings to factory default

[ NOTES ]
When booting the patched BIOS you might have to:
- Hold the anti-tamper switch down the whole time (use tape)
- Remove the hard disk or replace it with a locked one
