@danfernando
There was 200h of uncessary 0xFF padding on the end of your file, I have removed it.

@peste
You have posted an identical firmware back to me that I already unlocked for someone else. I don't understand why you have done this.
@danfernando
Those thanks were for me, and no worries at all.Comment

Hello I need help please thank you in advance
I received a "MacBook Model A1706 " device because it is locked with a passcode and also through recovery mode there is a "EFI" lock.
I forgot to backup the original BIOS file and wrote a file from the Internet.
Now I am facing a problem. In the device disk utility recovery mode, the storage capacity shows only 1 GB and there is no other information or another Partition.
I tried to write several other Bios files and the same thing, there is nothing new, the problem is still the same and it is only 1 GB memory.
I need a file compatible with my device and the serial number that will solve the problem, or if my problem is not the BIOS file in this case, are there any tips and recommendations to solve this problem?
Below you will find all the information about the device, the device model, and also a serial number
I appreciate your help. Best regards

Hello everyone.
I would really appreciate if someone Could help me with the bios.
Previously the system would require a six digit pass code.
I managed to edit the $SVS hex lines with no luck.
Currently the system after editing sees the boot disk but after trying to boot it goes and asks for a pin number.

by B2L_RepairsHi guys i am new to macbook repairs (i mostly do microsoldering on iphones and android devices. I need your assistance with macbook a1706 (touchbar edition) that came in without touchpad and keyboard functionality. External keyboard and mouse does work but the keyboard and touchpad on the macbook does not work. I changed the touchpad flex, also replaced the touchpad but the issue persisted. I then measured voltage on the board and found that PIN 44-50 of the touchpad connector (J4501) got 11.2V instead of 12.6V. Those pins required 12.6v and they get their 12.6v from PPVIN_S4-TPAD_FUSE . I measure...

by obelix24I just got in my hands one Macbook pro A1706. It was originally not turning on (only 5V 0,2a on all ports (and 3 ports were restarting ampmeter when connected)
I've replaced one CD3215C00 IC and now macbook is fully working (20V and charging fine)
There is only 1 issue that one USB-C port is taking 20V but 0A (after replacing CD3215 it was fully working and i was charging macbook on this port) but then it just turns off (ampmeter) and started with only 20V 0A.
There were some broken pads under CD3215 but i've recreated them.
What should be...05-22-2024, 08:04 AM -

by johnbetonHello,
I have a A1706 with 820-00923-A board. The laptop came in with non-working keyboard. I bought a new top-cover with keyboard and transfered everything to the new topcover.
Since then the macbook will not charge or power-up. Before replacing top cover, I started the macbook to test, and it worked fine apart from keyboard. Then shut it down and did replacement.
This is what I measure so far:
Resistance from F7000 to ground is 123 Ohm on pin 1 and 2
PPBUS_G3H = 0,79v
PPBUS_HS_CPU = 0,79v
PPBUS_HS_OTH5V = 0,79v

Hi everyone.
MacBook Pro, model A1706, EMC 3071. Charger shows only 5V and only 0.09A drawn. Board is 820-0239-A. Mint condition. Pretty sure no one ever opened it and was not used much.
I tested all steps from the table here https://logi.wiki/index.php/CD3215_Bootup_Sequence changing the CD3215 lines as I moved from one USB-C to the other.
What I found was:
- on step 3, I have the voltages as 10V and 7.8V, indicated as "Air" on this table, which I suppose would be for a MacBook Air. But this one is a Pro. Same on all DC3215s.
- on step 11, on diode mode,... - Loading...
