i have found that the pin 1 and 2 on left on lvds connector are damaged.
can this cause the backlight not to work? because backlight connector is not damaged as you can see on the picture...

i have measured again the F9700 fuse and now i have 8.2v to 8.6v

so i set the multimeter to 200KΩ
no LCD i measure 56.2K
with LCD 0.009K

hello all,
so there is image but no backlight, i can use the laptop with external screen via HDMI,
i have checked the board and found an damaged LCD fuse F9700, replaced it but this didnt solve the problem.
these are some readings that i have made, i have measured all with the LCD connected
L9000 (PP5VR3V3_SW_LCD) - PIN1 5V PIN2 5V
C9000 (PPVOUT_S0_LCDBKLT)- PIN1 0V PIN2 0V

what do you mean by content?
i have just ordered an new and already programmed chip on ebay.
i have put it back with same orientation. only the ground connection of the motherboard got broken. but i have jumped it with a jumper cable to the ground of the motherboard. can this be the reason?Leave a comment:

hello,
i have an HP Probook 650 G2 , i have replaced the chip with another one because my bios was locked and i didnt know the password.
it was working fine until i had to replace the bios chip.
now its not turning on only the fan spins at high speed but i get no display at all.
does someone have an idea of what it could be?
