Hello everyone and thanks you all so much for your help.

I'm running an issue with a 5410, this bad boy won't boot and only show an orange led on charging when I press the power button (and that light goes off a soon as I release the power button), I've saw on a Youtube video that it might be reletade to a BIOS corruption, by comparing some of your dump and fix, I can see that I have a ton of FF.


I've uploaded both the 16 and 8 Mb dump.

Can someone take a look at it and fix it ?

I also would like to know how to do it myself so I don't bother anyone next time


Quick and newbie question : why is there 2 bios chip and why is it crazy hard to get .bin from .exe dell bios updater ?

Do I have to "fuse" the BIOS ? Like board ID and stuff ? or just a quick flash of what you gave me will work ?

one is Main Bios and 2nd is for EC. Use DellPFSExtractor to get bios files from exe.

Good news, the computer is saved.

Bad news, farouk, the bios you gave me is locked, do you know by any chance the password ?

Computer need to reboot 6 times (he auto reboot) before booting for good, is there any fix to this ?
