                        Can anyone remove the password on this Latitude 5410 BIOS? I have both the Winbond and XMC BIOS dumps attached. The motherboard is LA-J371P Rev. 1.0.

                                I have flashed the XMC BIOS IC with the unlocked file and the only thing the laptop does is shows an Amber status light only when the power button is pressed. No fan spin or other signs of life.

                                    Make sure that you had soldered the chip in right way.

                                        The chip is soldered in the right orientation but I made a dump of the BIOS after flashing the unlocked file and the dump matches the locked BIOS. Are these XMC BIOS ICs commonly write-protected?

                                                                                    Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.

                                                                                    so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
                                                                                    in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...
