Hello! I tried using the autopatcher for my Lenovo T480s, but it only causes the system to beep and display a blank screen (sometimes a very dimmed Lenovo logo). I'm using AsProgrammer and have followed the main instructions in this thread. I have also tried the W25Q128JV@SOIC8_PATCHED.bin file.

I've attached my original bin file.

Are you sure you didn't do any faults to the motherboard ?

              STEP 2: Boot the machine
STEP 3: Press ENTER/F1/etc. to enter BIOS settings
STEP 4: Enter any character when asked for Supervisor Password
STEP 5: Press enter when it shows Hardware ID
STEP 6: Press space bar 2x when asked
              STEP 7: Turn off machine
STEP 8: Restore your saved Original.bin BIOS

I had the same issue as elianadragon when using autopatcher (T480s, S/N PC-1678ZZ, w25q128jv). I tried your patched version and worked perfectly. Thanks!

I've tried reprogramming the backup, and I can enter the BIOS again with that. The screen is still very dim with it. (might be backlight, but I am using a brand new screen)

After I flashed this file, I pressed F1 and got four beeps. Then it shows a faint "Entering Setup" on the screen and hangs there.

Flash your original BIOS again and check if the laptp starts ok and you can get to the Password screen.
If it's ok then flash the patched file and try again all steps from the beginning

                        Hi everyone,
I'm trying to remove the bios Password from my ThinkPad P50.

I have tried both lenovo_autopatcher_0.2 and the older lenovo_autopatcher.
In both cases the generated files (P50BK1_PATCHED_CLEAN and P50BK1_PATCHED) do not work.
After flashing I only get a black screen, 5 beeps, fans stop spinning, and no other signs of life.

I am not able to manually edit the NVRAM (VSS2 store) blocks with UEFITool.

                        **Tools available:**
                        - Windows 11
                        - CH341A PRO (2 units)
                        - AsProgrammer
                        - 3 original BIOS dumps (compared with HxD, all identical)

                        **Motherboard:**
                        - Lenovo BP500 NM-A451 Rev 1.0 (2015-11-06)
                        - BIOS chip: Winbond W25Q128FV
                        - Machine: ThinkPad P50, TYPE 20EQ-S3WF12, S/N PC-0GSV94 16/11

I know that many users face the same issue (after autopatcher → 5 beeps and black screen).
Has anyone already found a working patch for the P50, or could you help me clean the dump manually?

                        Thanks!

I need a patched BIOS version for X1 Yoga 4th generation. Autopatcher did not help, the laptop beeps many times, and the screen remains black.

Than connect an external HDMI screen for better view, and keep pressing the F1 key when start with the patched file. If you delay with F1 key it freeze in Lenovo screen.

I need a patched BIOS version for X1 Yoga 4th generation. Autopatcher did not help, the laptop beeps many times, and the screen remains black.

                                    Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                                    🧩 Initial Issue
                                    • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                                    • External display (HDMI) shows
                                    ...

Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                                    Some issues
                                    A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                                    Things I tried

                                    by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

                                    Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....
