Could someone please help me remove the Supervisor password?
I attempted to use an autopatcher, and now when I try to enter the BIOS I get a black screen.

Good for you to help others (@KELO1981)...but we have rules here...for next time 😊...

Like "...Provide the full machine model number, serial number (or Service tag, SNID) and the board model number (see https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=88758 ) ,The serial number, make, full model number, motherboard model and revision (except QR codes) must be written/typed at your request as per the rules. Not as a picture, part of the file name and so on...."

So i put his info instead of him...

First time posting on here. Just wanted to say, I used the CH341A (had to do the 3.3v modification) programmer with this method on patching the .bin and re-flashing followed the instructions to the T and worked great. Had bought a Lenovo Thinkpad T460 with a winbond W25Q series EEPROM chip. I struggled for a while to remove the supervisor password with HxD editor and ASprogrammer and struggled. Had to use Flashrom to connect through the terminal to the chip (this worked better than ASprogrammer) But glad I found this. thank you.

              Hi guys,

I came across t14 gen2-20w1 and found that if we use a clean me file that doesn't work on other laptops, could someone please tell me what difference is between this laptop's bios bin and others?
Both laptops are 20w1, but the file doesn't work.
Is it something related to the EC chip?

Hello. I tried this in 3.13 but it didn't work. Is it because it's 32MB or is it an incompatible program?

After some trial and error, this has worked. (I'm currently flashing the original BIOS back)
I'm not entirely sure how, but, on an L480, I managed to get past the black screen issue after reflashing the original bios and then the patch again, at which point I could get to the lenovo screen. To enter BIOS options, I tapped the BIOS key (Enter in my case) right before the splash screen showed, as after that point it wouldn't work.

                          by macabook
                          Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                          🧩 Initial Issue
                          • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                          • External display (HDMI) shows
                          ...

                          by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                          Some issues
                          A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                          Things I tried

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
                          by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

                          Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....
