Does the asusgx531gx-bck-up_fixed.rar work on the gx531GW? Should I try the above or will it brick?
I have the GX531GW but I am only seeing GX531GX bios online.
I can't keep the temperatures down and the laptop keeps throttling.
Is this considered a hijack and should I start a new thread? Either way, people looking for the GX531GW bios would find this and have similar questions.Comment

Ok I found this .306 file but ez flash says it is not a proper bios file. Does anything need to be done to it? I don't know what I am doing and should start my own thread.Comment

I have 306 version on my gx531gw zepherys s 2070 max-q 8750H
BIOS 307 and 308 locks out undervolting completely, so for this purpose you have 2 choices
1. Install BIOS 306
2. Modify your Bios 307 or 308 (there is a videoo on Youtube how to do this) in order to unlock undervolting
Cant make XTU undervolting to work (new XTU version greyout adjustments) old version of XTU crashes.
But I still managed to do -.140mV in ThrottleStop
PS: I couldnt find working version of 306 BIOS nowhere in the internet, hope ill help somebody with this.Comment

Anyone , please hep me with the bios. laptop turns on , takes 1.3 Amp , but no display. . i dont have the backup bios, i tried cleaning ME region with the backup bios from the internet but no good result. all voltages are OK to me , dont know what is the fault so first i wanna make sure bios is ok, then i can go back to board again, if same problem .. . . . so please someone rebuild fresh working bios with this serial number .. . . . and can can anyone share their dump file/ working bios backup of GX531GS with us??? please

With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.
For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.
I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.
When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.
I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder... -

I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.
I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.
The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.
Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website... -

I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. I have already checked the BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools section but could not find a working method for this specific model.
