Yep - had to come back to it after a day or two to let my hands rest - I must've been losing contact with the chip on some of the pogo pins it was a real struggle to keep myself steady for that long.

Flashed and now booting, and bios updated happily to the latest version.

Thanks for your help - I've tried flashing this a few times but it keeps failing to verify, the error is repeatedly: "Verification error on address: 0x01000010, Device: 0x00, Buffer: 0x78"

I thought it was just bad contact with the chip, but it's failed at that exact point multiple times now?...

Hi - I'm here trying to figure out how to restore my Asus ROG Ally X - I played with settings hidden in the bios I shouldn't have and have now been sent on this journey to try figure out how to re-flash it with a good one...
