Also, Probook 640 G2 is not on the list of supported models.

My HP 640 G2 was dead.. Suspect Bios corrupt...

No luck with above flash. Hit power button, keyboard lights up as do WiFi and Spk buttons.. Orange charge light flashes 3 times then stays solid.Comment

After finding a Flash in the forum called 640OK I loaded the chip, now the laptop has different symptoms.. Cap Locks key flashes 5 times.. keyboard lights up for about 10 seconds, CPU fan Hums.. but nothing on the monitor.Comment

Is that bios you posted at #31 the original.Whats the history of the laptop ,has someone tried to fix it before ? .The 640 g2 has 2 different bios versions , N76 and N87.The bios you posted has version N76 .
Is this the 640OK bios you tried, post #1 - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=82222 .If you open that bios with MEAnalyzer you`ll see that the ME firmware is "Initialised" which means the ME FW is "Dirty" as its already been booted on another machine and married to the chipset.Thats why your results are different now.You need a bios with clean ME firmware.

Is the BIOS original.. No.. The BIOS has been replaced at one time before. After the BIOS was changed the laptop ran for a couple of months. The BIOS chip was purchased programmed online. Popped it in and it worked.
The BIOS I posted in 31 is what I read of the chip in the laptop.

I'm facing a problem with a locked bios with a password and i can't find how to remove it...
The small computer is only booting on a M2 ssd Windows partition and i get a "signed partition error" if i try to boot on the same SSD with another Os (linux for example).

I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).
But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.
I'm trying to reset my bios without success.
I tried :
-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries... -
Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.
My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).
Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set.... -

The batch from which the password was removed works correctly but... after some time, the BIOS password is set again, I reprogrammed the batch with the removed password, it's ok, there is no password, I set my password, ok, I can enter the BIOS with my password but... -
Can someone help me explain how to fix the original bios when downloaded and exacted bios is much smaller than the original one?
