Hi!Re: Lenovo g50-45 bios
Ok,lets try a bios recovery. Format a USB flash drive as fat32 .Extract the attached file named LarneMLX64.fd from the zip folder and copy it onto the flash drive.Follow this guide from step #4 https://www.bios-mods.com/bios-recov...bios-recovery/
I know it is an old thread, but i have the same problem and maybe i'm in luck.
So... I have a Lenovo G50-45 with AMD A8-6410 CPU and Radeon R5 graphics.
The laptop is turning on, power led goes on but the screen is black. From an angle, i can see some kind of reset on the screen when i power it on, but no backlight or any info.
I can turn off the laptop with a long press, but it turns of and restarts after 25 seconds. Fan does not spin, but USB ports are powered also.
To me it seems a corrupt BIOS, i would reprogram it, but my hot air soldering station is broken and without that is kinda difficult.
I tried the bios recovery procedure described, but no joy.
I tried by pressing the keys Windows + B as in the procedure, but also with Fn + Esc what i saw on another forum.
None of these worked. I used an USB key which has a led indicator, but it did not even blink.
Would love to hear your opinion, do i have any chance to start it this way? Maybe it's not even a corrupt bios, could be a hardware failure, but voltages seem normal.
This is the motherboard type.

If you can see info on the screen using a torch/flashlight you have a backlight problem, try using HDMI. If bios is corrupt and USB recovery hasn`t worked you will have to use an SPI programmer to program it. -
Hi!
Your procedure saved this laptop, it works now!
First i want to say, that of course i checked the screen with flashlight and there was no info on it. I also checked with external monitor on both VGA and HDMI outputs.
When i said "some kind of reset", i meant that from an angle the black looked different when it was off or on.
Now, the solution. CMOS recovery worked OK, but with a catch.
On a Russian forum i saw that someone succeeded after pressing the Fn + R keys.
I tried that and bingo! Beeps, etc and in a few minutes i got my laptop working.
Thank you again, your post was a treasure.

Summary of BIOS Whitelist Removal Problem
Problem:
I am attempting to remove the WWAN card whitelist from my Lenovo ThinkPad T560.
Initial Findings:- My current BIOS version is N1KET58W (1.45).
- I have a CH341A programmer and have successfully created two full backups of my BIOS.
- I have the ability to use command-line tools on a Linux machine.
- I attempted to use several automated and manual patching methods on my N1KET58W (1.45) BIOS, including using hex strings. These attempts all failed.
- I concluded that the

by WahazHello,
I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....-

by grimacelordHello there.
I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.
History:
1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.
I searched for this error online and discovered...-

by to5it0Need Clean BIOS/EC Bin File for Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e - Stuck with 0275 Error CMS
Hello everyone,
I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.
This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.
I have opened the laptop and identified the main BIOS chip...2 Photos-

by mkdjDear all,
I have recently fixed a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 ALC6 that was not booting due to a BIOS issue. After flashing the BIOS, the laptop boots up, but hard disk is not recognized in BIOS. Is says "Hard Disk : Not Installed". I have tried with 2 different drives (one that I know is working on another laptop) but I get the same result. I do not know if disks were recognized before I got the laptop and fix it, but I don't see any reason why not. I can boot on USB though.
Here the steps I have taken to fix the laptop:
- downloaded latest BIOS from Lenovo Website... - Loading...
- No more items.
