Re: HP Elitebook 820 G2 bios needed
Hi all. I am one of the peson that has been helped by Imranromi and would like to thank him.
By the way I would like to know what is the process of having the BIOS file cleaned up. Another member wrote me this...
"Ok real easy take your top half of your original file and merge it with the bottom half of either the update or donor file so let's say your bio's file is 8mb so the first 4mb merge to the other 4mb and you are done on most hp on newer ones pass words are stored in the kbc all doable just need the correct programmer to load the clean firmware and the last is the newer hex tool using disable code .

In most cases you need to pull the chip they sell a clip so no need to pull chip off but I never had to much luck with it. Need a programmer like the t860 A around 100. On eBay with the correct adapters read chip save a copy the upload in you case I think you model has to chips main bios &EC . So what’s the problem . Password.

Re: HP Elitebook 820 G2 bios needed
Hi all,
I have a tech question about BIOS manipulating. IAW the information I had from the forum it is quite easy to remove the password just merging the first half of the dump file with the second half of update/donor file. Fact is that I have a dump file that is 16 MB large and the original bin file from HP (let us say the N75 013 BIOS) that is a bin file 9 MB large.
That said, If I take half of dump file I'll have 8 MB, if I then take half of original BIOS I'll have 4,5 MB....so the total will be more or less - 12,5 MB - smaller than 16 MB but I see that the modified files are always 16 MB.
Is my understanding right or not?
Thank you for your help.Comment

Re: HP Elitebook 820 G2 bios needed
The file you downloaded from web (9 mb file) does not go on start of 16mb file, it goes to the end. Open 9 mb file in hex editor and scroll untill you find bytes that are not 0x00h... open 16mb file also and search first few bytes from 9mb file and then overrite 16mb file with 9mb file. It must fit, it must not be bigger or smaller than 16mb qnd thats itIm Back... sort of...Comment

by DynaxSCHi, I have an MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 board with damaged BIOS and i need a bios dump from a real board, along with MAC, UUID and Serial Number info (eg. a BIOS screenshot and pictures from the board stickers).
I need to reconstruct the bios on my board, based on another bios image form a real board - meaning a bios image containing MAC address, UUID and Serial number. A stock BIOS is not suffiecient, as it is impossible to discover where the MAC, UUID and SerialNumber are stored. Tried with a similar board, but there are too much differences, and the stock BIOS is missing a lot of...11-17-2023, 10:56 AM -
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to recover a Fujitsu Lifebook E5513 (most likely 2023 model) that was bricked during a BIOS update. The update was interrupted (probably due to power loss), and now the laptop is stuck in a boot loop showing "PBB rollback" / "SBB rollback" messages.
BIOS access (F2) and Boot Menu (F12) are no longer possible – the system instantly reboots after the rollback messages.
I extracted the official BIOS update package from Fujitsu (contains FJNB2FD.CAP, ~18.7 MB) and tried tools like UEFIExtract, but it seems to only contain...-

by vinaypundithI have this laptop that does boot but it's on an older BIOS that has issues with Secure Boot, and I cannot use the normal Razer BIOS updater because for some reason the serial number is missing / got deleted somehow (Common issue on this model, from what I've read). I got a dump of the BIOS chip (or at least what I think is the BIOS chip), and its 16MB in size - the files from the Razer BIOS update are 8MB. (There's two 8MB files, am I supposed to combine these somehow? Or combine with an Intel ME firmware? I have no idea).
So, I'm looking for a BIOS dump for this machine - a 16MB one....-

by Habble7The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.
Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.
