          Re: HP g6-1030st bios dump

I have used dycc's bid01666 file and nazrul's upload. Both bios file made dc jack to light up but after 10 seconds it turns off. I just found out that a component is heating up. PU2 a discharge IC. I cannot seem to identify the value as I can only read P2806 on top of it and in schematic. Does anyone have datasheet for this? many many thanks.

          NOTE*

Before I used bios file, dc jack has no light at all. But no heating component is detected.

Check the 12V LDO output for short before changing the IC.

                    Re: HP g6-1030st bios dump

I replaced pc42 because its shorted. Now, light indicator on dc jack stays on and PU2 does not heat up. Now the problem is when I insert processor and press power button, dc jack light goes off then on. But when processor is remove then I press power button dc jack light stays on and system board powers up. Even fan stays on.

Is there a possibility that the processor is faulty? As of now I got no spare to do testing. Or I may reprogram bios using the original one? thanks guys

                      Pin 17 output?
Do you have oscilloscope to see if the 14V is fluctuating?
The capacitor was of the same size (1uF)?

I replaced capacitor with same value. 14v is steady not fluctuating. I'll will check pin 17 output later. I know I took down notes for all pin voltages but can't find my records. Maybe I left it somewhere.

You should get 28V. it drives the gate of of PQ48 to get a normal +PWRSRC voltage.

The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.

Tried with a similar board, but there are too much differences, and the stock BIOS is missing a lot of...

                                          Hi,

I need a BIOS dump for MSI Z590 PRO WIFI from a real physical board, along with MAC address and serial no.

It must be a dump from a physical board, as it contains personalized data eg. MAC Address, UUID, Serial no.

I have a board which has lost the BIOS contents, I have the MAC and serial to this board, and need to insert it into the another BIOS image. To do it, I need to have a real image from a real board, as the images from the MSI site are without this data. The only way to find where MAC/UUID/Serial is located in the BIOS is to have a bios...

I have this laptop that does boot but it's on an older BIOS that has issues with Secure Boot, and I cannot use the normal Razer BIOS updater because for some reason the serial number is missing / got deleted somehow (Common issue on this model, from what I've read). I got a dump of the BIOS chip (or at least what I think is the BIOS chip), and its 16MB in size - the files from the Razer BIOS update are 8MB. (There's two 8MB files, am I supposed to combine these somehow? Or combine with an Intel ME firmware? I have no idea).
So, I'm looking for a BIOS dump for this machine - a 16MB one....
