I noticed there's a lot of unlock request for this model HP EliteBook 860 G10
The patch won't work if the bios version is latest. use this bin flash both it won't work if you only flash the main you should Flash Both!
first boot press f10 apply factory defaults and restart, 2nd boot reset security settings to defaults and exit.
use BCU and put your original DMI.

Check your bios with a hex editor to see if the BID is V70 ,if it is you can use the bios posted by rex98 further up https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...15#post3585615Comment

I end up using windows uuid for SMBIOS without the "-" and it worked, new issue, hp 860 G10 fingerprint scanner shows issue with device/driver after bios flash from post #27, i redid windows , drivers from hp site , did whole hp recovery image thing, no luck, im sure cable for fingerprint plugged and it was working 100% before the bios flash, possible bios chip has unique data about biometric fingerprint scanner? and any fix for that?

by ShadeRunnerHi everyone,
I’m a student currently locked out of the BIOS on my HP EliteBook 830 G6. I bought the laptop second-hand, and the previous owner didn't provide the password. I really need access to the BIOS to change storage settings and boot orders for my studies.
System Details:- Model: HP EliteBook 830 G6
- Processor: Intel Core i5 (8th Gen)
- Serial Number: 5CG0080LKD
- Halt Code (from 3rd fail): qeh11u1kst
I'm hoping someone here can help me generate an SMC.bin file or provide a master password that works for this generation. Any guidance on how to get back...-

Hi everyone,
I’m troubleshooting a motherboard from an HP EliteBook 840 G3 and I’m facing a strange power issue. Problem Description- When I plug in the charger, the laptop automatically powers on (without pressing the power button).
- The Caps Lock LED stays ON continuously.
- The Power LED, Wi-Fi LED, and Mute LED also turn on.
- After a few seconds, the laptop turns off, then automatically powers on again, creating a continuous power loop.

by DudebromanHello Hello,
I have been browsing the site and gotten so much useful info from here, including extremely helpful boardviews and several other very useful types of information. I am very grateful to this community, as I have actually eeked out a living from buying salvage PC's & Macbooks and repairing them. So, thank you all in advance!
I have searched and found some useful information regarding my issue, but my case is a bit different than the info I'm finding. But if anyone here can give me any useful advice, it would be highly appreciated.
