hello i am having a issue with my hp elitebook 840 g10, i try to enter bios and its set with a password on bios itself, so im unable to reset to factory defaults through bios its just immidiate prompt for password with no other options on screen. bought it on ebay a couple months back and just been stuck with it. luckily it was reset so i was able to install windows and stuff. but im unable to enter bios and that bugs me in case i want to set up other boot orders and such. i believe it was a work computer someone sold on ebay, and never got a reply back from seller for any info unfortunately.

Make a backup of the main bios, flash back your original 1st main bios backup. If the problem is still there post the 2nd main bios backup.

I noticed there's a lot of unlock request for this model HP EliteBook 840 14 inch G10
The patch won't work if the bios version is latest. use this bin flash both it won't work if you only flash the main you should Flash Both.
first boot press f10 apply factory defaults and restart, 2nd boot reset security settings to defaults and exit.
use BCU and put your original DMI.
