Hello, I am really hoping someone can help me out. I've read through dozens of threads on how to remove the BIOS password from a 840 G10, but I have not been able to figure out how to replicate your patched dumps. I receive hundreds to thousands of this model and similar models that need unlocked. Can you help explain how you are patching the BIOS dumps to remove the password? I have all the tools, programmers, and average knowledge regarding this.Comment

If you want to learn how to unlock password, you must be familiar with repairing bios first. Two indispensable tools are: UEFI Tool NE alpha and HxD.Hello, I am really hoping someone can help me out. Yes, I have both tools and familiar with using these. I know how to pull the DMI info with the UEFI Tool, but can't get it to go into MPM. I'm using a xGecu T56 programmer and know how to unlock any Lenovo, Dell, and most HP laptops, but having a difficult time figuring out the HP 840 G10 or newer models. What do I need to do to unlock these models? Thank you for all your help.Comment

Hi all, it seems HP have patched MPM from early 2024 and later bios revisions, not only on the 840 G10 I mention below but several other new EliteBook's. Patching the bios through HxD would allow the laptop to go into MPM mode no problem but this is not possible with new bioses, you will be greeted with a 'The Bios has recovered it's identity data from the embedded controller due to data mismatch'. Is there anyway to downgrade the bios with the password active to allow MPM mode again?
I have attached my original dump and the patched dump which had a 100% success rate before HP patched the bios in new revisions....

Thank you in advance.Attached FilesComment

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by WahazHello,
I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....-

by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight

by Akhlz001Hi,
Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...-
