      Re: lenovo n500 bios dump

hey guys, did you managed to recover your lenovo n500?
I have quite similar platform: lenovo g530 3000 with the same mobo flashed with incorrect bios rom.
tomodachi posted wph file, but it's not dump. wph also contains some service information for flasher tool....

anyway - did you recovered your bios by flashing chip using programmer either via crisis disk (or other similar disks)?

      Thanks in advance,
      Denys.

          Re: lenovo n500 bios dump

          Hi Guys,

Thanks for the files, but I've already disassembled the laptop, soldered out flash and connected it to a Sivava Programmer (Willem) and programmed a correct bin from lenovo off site...
This is the only thing worked for me.
Trying to recover with Crisis disk (lots of various combination) - failed.

          Cheers,
          Denys.

Hi! I have lenovo g530 (JIWA3 LA-4212P REV.2.0). After putting damaged ribbon cable for display (I didn't see that flat is damaged in first place) laptop keeps turning off. Just turn on led lights and cooler for few seconds, and turn off. I found that IC power chip (at least I think that is IC power chip) for that few sec was extremly hot. Mark of that chip is 'ene kb926qf -d3'. I think that must change. I need to know is cause or consequence? I hop you'll understand me and answer me Thanks

Need BIOS Dump/ROM for Lenovo Thinkstation p500
                                by AHmad_Salal
                                Hello all,
I have a Lenovo Thinkstation P500 that is stuck at post with no display, it happened after I changed the memory timings in bios. I can not clear CMOS using the jumper on the motherboard, also tried re-flashing bios suing a USB stick but it also doesn't work. The only solution that I can think of right now is re-flashing the bios chip using an external programmer but the problem is that I don't have the bios dump of p500 for flashing externally and I don't know the location of bios chip. If someone can provide the bios dump and bios chip location it would be really helpful....

I need a BIOS dump for the Samsung S49CG934SU monitor
                                by Habble7
The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.

                                Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.

                                Troubleshooting Attempts:
                                ...

Hi all! I was reading on tutorials how to flash a bios to remove password from a bios, and I ended up reading the EC chip instead of the main bios chip, it only gave me a .bin file of 1,024kb, I learned later that that is the EC chip not the main bios chip (I should have read the tutorials here instead before attempting anything, my bad), I went to flash the original backup, the 1,024kb size file into the same chip and laptop is not powering up anymore. I may have screwed the chip or even the motherboard (Hopefully not), I am trying to see if there is a fix before I discard it. I had a couple...

Hi, I hope this is the right place to post this. This is my first post on this forum.

A friend helped me get a prototype Lenovo motherboard from China, it's got a hole drilled in it but I'm working on trying to revive it to some degree. I dumped the bios in hopes that it might be useful to someone, since this board is configured with the 3rd NVMe SSD slot and maybe it is useful as a reference for modding another bios to support this function. For example the M90q Gen 2 / P350's unpopulated 3rd NVMe slot footprint maybe.
This bios dump is straight from the chip, nothing has been...

I have made two dumps of this bios, with the bios chip removed from the board and the hashes match on both dumps, but I cannot find the DMI information in the dumps except for the Windows product key, so I think it is corrupted. I have downloaded two bios updates from the Lenovo support site, but they contain small .PAT file, and 4 subfolders containing .FL1 and .FL2 files, which I don't understand enough to figure out how to use to fix my dump.

The problem with the laptop is that...
