I erased the original contents (all FFs) of the bios file, since I thought it was garbage. However, the files I downloaded from this thread are all 16,384 Kb, where I need it for 8 Mb. How do you get this file to write to the chip if the size is too large?

The 25Q80CSIG is 8 Mega bits , not Mega Bytes. 8 Mega bits is 1MB (Mega Bytes) . You have made a mistake there and erased the wrong chip. The golden rule of bios programming is to always make a good backup. If you didn`t make one then you`ll need to find,or someone to post that 1MB dump to flash back to that chip. Post a picture of the area on the board where that chip is.

Apparently the Winbond W25Q128FWSQ 128M-bit (16MB) chip is the correct bios. I did take the motherboard to a local computer shop that wrongly indicated that the GigaDevice GD25Q80CSIG chip on the other side of the motherboard was the correct chip (see image). Coincidently, another GigaDevice 25Q80CTIG (8M-bit) chip is located near the Winbond chip on the front side of the motherboard. Thank you for clarifying the correct chip and size for me. Any help to revive the bios for the GD25Q80CSIG will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. The Bios seems to work but still no display just a black screen. DELL self test works and screen flashes different colours but will not boot and still shoes error. I was hoping latest Bios from DELL would fix the issue. was release a few days ago.

                  Thanks

bios image is extracted from latest bios update (1.24.0) with your DMI in it. Your backup is 1.15.0, try this version of bios extracted from update.

Recently used a Selek MLK AMD 19802-1 FGRDN$JA to confirm that that the GD25Q8OCSIG (8M-bit) chip is blank. I've attached the backup bios from my motherboard (Selek MLK AMD 19802-1 FGRDN$LA) to see if anyone could create a clean bios from the latest bios update (1.24.0). Thank you.
