there are 2 versions of the bios U75 and U86.
your bios is U86.
my experience is that U86 gives problems with unlocking, maybe someone else has a solution
Hello, instructions for resetting the BIOS password 1. Download the original dump. 2. Flash the unlocked file to spi. 3. When we turn it on, it will write an error that the checksums do not match. Writes a MANUFACRURE error. We enter the bios and reset all settings to factory settings. 4. Flash the native dump.
I noticed there's a lot of unlock request for this model HP EliteBook 640 14 inch G9
The patch won't work if the bios version is latest. use this bin flash both it won't work if you only flash the main you should Flash Both.
first boot press f10 apply factory defaults and restart, 2nd boot reset security settings to defaults and exit.
use BCU and put your original DMI.

So my smooth brain understands this, I put the cleanMe Unlocked main.bin to main chip (which is somewhere on the front of the board where cpu etc. is) and EC.bin to the back of the board?
Then follow instructions (F10 etc.) to reset it?
