try this bios. It will enter in mpm. Reset security to default and write DMI with BCU. Or, after reseting security to defaults put back original bios.

UPDATE / SOLUTION
It worked!- Erased MAIN + EC chips
- Flashed files from rex98
- 1st boot: F10 → apply factory defaults → restart
- 2nd boot: reset security settings to defaults → exit
- Installed BCU and restored saved DMI data

erase before programming, and also check around each chip for any resistors that you might have dislodged
It didn’t work. After flashing, the laptop powers on, the keyboard light blinks, two orange lights show up on F5 and F8, and then it keeps looping. I downloaded the files and flashed them, but no success. What’s the correct procedure? Should I erase first and then flash, or can I just overwrite it?Leave a comment:

What do you think about trying to unlock the one in the attached file? It’s the main BIOS that worked after the restoration.

I read the MAIN and EC (with WSON chip burn probe spring needle + CH341A) and saved them in a folder named MAIN+EC-BK. Then I flashed both CLEAN UNLOCKED MAIN+EC bin files. After flashing, when powering on, the HP only blinks an orange light without booting. I had to restore the backup files, and it powered on again but still with the BIOS password. Attached are the original MAIN and EC files. Can anyone help me remove the BIOS password?Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Thank you very much. I saw this post, but I wasn’t able to read the EC ROM with my CH341A. It doesn’t detect, and the chip doesn’t have the model printed on it like the 25Q256JVEQ from the MAIN BIOS. Can you help me? I’d like to perform this flashing since I had already downloaded the two mentioned files.Leave a comment:

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by traxformaniaHello,
I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).
But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.
I'm trying to reset my bios without success.
I tried :
-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries... -

by NopslideHello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.
My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).
Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....-

by WutruHi guys,
If someone would be able to provide some expertise, I'd be very grateful.
BIOS Corruption - Cause
So I managed to corrupt my machine by installing linux and enrolling custom secure boot keys. I did choose to enroll the Microsoft keys as well, to prevent any potential bricking due to 3rd party drivers from HP being signed with those keys.
After doing that, and rebooting(it did boot, powerLED, fanspin etc.), the laptop did not give any video output on the LCD or video connectors. I think I was able to get in BIOS and trigger the beeper by pressing ESC....-
