Where does SMC_BC_ACOK come from U7000?

    (820-3330). I'm wondering exactly where SMC_BC_ACOK starts at ?

I see on U7000 pin 14 it starts but If I have 0V does a bad SMC prevent it from coming from pin 14 ?

    On pin 2 of r5087 I have 3.42 volts

    Pin 1 is 0V

SMC_BC_ACOK comes from u7000. if u7000 is ok it give u that voltage.
      check u7000 voltages pin 1,2,3,4
check omh from pin 17 and 18 (one probe on pin 17 other pin 18)and from pin 27 and 28 (one probe on pin 27 and other on pin 28) no battery no psu attached

check for short on f7040 and 4 mosfet across u7000.

SMC had Burn very hot I replaced it.
Still no green light so I changed u6901 I have green light .
        Pin 14 I now have 2.3v
No start no bypass smc either - no orange light with battery connected.

        U7000
        1 0v
        2 17v
        3 4.40v
        4 3.80v

        17 18 is 12ohm. 27 28. 21 ohm.

        R7086 (330k OK!). pin 1 0v. pin 2. 6.45?

I think my problem now is missing PM_SLP_S4_L I have no enable on u7201 can you give me advice?
Is there possibility I have damaged VIA because of burn hole on top of smc?
What should I do to track short from SMC ?
I really hope PCH is not at fault but how?

pin 110 on SMC is PM_SLP_S4_L I need to know what to test for short I don't believe my problem is the PCH
P5VS3_EN is missing u7201 I have no voltage at the coil L7220

              report ppbus voltage, 3,3 and 5 volt s5. check resistor u7000 pin 17-18 one is 0omh one is 2.2. g3hot is 3,42 ? voltage on smc_reset_l ?

I'm afraid there is no hope for this one I get 3.3v but with missing enable on u7201 it will never power on. The enable comes from PCH u1800

As Dellxps15 said U7000 "17 18 is 12ohm" is high - you need to check the resistors and we need ppbus_g3h - is it 8.6v?

                    This is a 820-3330 ppbus_g3h needs to be 12.8v which I have.

                    17 18 ohm is correct

                          Hi there,
I have a Mac on the bench that wouldn't turn on, it didn't have PPBUS_G3H voltage.
I replaced the IC U7000, ISL6259 and the green light came on, the cooler turned on and showed the video, but I noticed that PPBUS_G3H is at 9.45V and the U7000 is heating up a lot.
I took resistance measurements for the earth and did not find a short circuit.
I measured the resistors connected to the U7000 and found no different value.
I searched the Forum and didn't find anything like this.
Can anyone give me any advice about this problem?
                          Thanks in advance.

                          U7000 Questions

Knowledge seeker here with a couple questions. Looks like my 820-2915-B motherboard's u7000 chip needs replaced on my Late 2011 Macbook Pro 15". (Green light and my battery does not charge).

My chip lists three rows of info. I've found sources online matching the first two rows.

                          9AHRTZ
                          F130TK

                          1. What does the indo on the third row represent? Must it be identical?
                          2. Can I use a U7000 I find online or must I find a donor board?
                          3. Does Apple use the identical U7000 on many different Macbook Pros? My guess is Apple would...

Hi all, i was wondering if anyone can help me resolve this issue with this macbook, it is 820-3332-a

if i connect the battery to this board while power is connected to the power supply i get a whistling noise buy u7000, if i keep battery connected and reconnect power supply i still have whistling noise by u7000, if i remove power supply from board and battery still connected whistling dissapears, if i keep power supply connected and disconnect battery whistling goes

i have replaced u7000 chip 3 times as i have got donor boards for the same model, L7030 gets warm...

MacBook Pro 15" 2010 820-2850 no PPBUS_G3H, green light on
                          by vdrokko99
                          Hello,

I'd like to ask help to repair 820-2850. There is green light, but not turning on because the PPVBUS_G3H is 0.5xxx V. I already measured resistance to GND, but no short ciurcuit. I did a few measure next to U7000,

                          R7020 ok,
                          R7050 ok,
                          F7040 ok,
                          SCM_RESET_L 3,4V
                          CHRG_DCIN 16V,
PP5V1_CHGR_VDD, and PP5V1_CHGR_VDDP is 0,5V but no short to GND

I think the missing PP5V1_CHGR_VDD is the problem which is comes from and go to the U7000.
This missing voltage means a defective U7000 or cause other missing voltage?...
