    ACOK at BQ24728 DA0R53MB6E0 issue

    Hello team,
I'm having issue with ACOK signal at BQ24728.
The notebook is able to work with battery but with power adapter only blinks 3 times at dc in when power button is pressed.
I managed to find that ACOK is missing from BQ24728,
so far I have replaced it with BQ24735, replaced the KBC, checked the dc in mosfets and currently I'm out of ideas.
    Any help will be appreciated.

Re: ACOK at BQ24728 DA0R53MB6E0 issue

Why you replaced BQ,KBC without taken voltages before!
Start with taken the requirements voltages for BQ to work : Pin 20/6/16 and post it here

Have you checked if middle pin of charger is functioning properly?

Re: ACOK at BQ24728 DA0R53MB6E0 issue

        Thank you for replying,
        voltages at BQ p20=19,5V, p6=2,68V & p16=6V
        they seem normal to me

The adapter ID pin has been messured ok all way to kbc.

replacing parts seemed to me the only way to figure it out...

          Hi,

Can you share what is the voltage on cmsrc and ad-id?

BQCMSRC is 19,5V and AD_ID is 0,77V measured at C737

ACOK you mean ACPRES? Pin 5? If so then: ACPRES is pulled up from the charger's LDO (pin 16) via PR80. So, you're saying that you have 6V on the left side of PR80 (=REGN6V) and 0v on right side (=ACPRES). ACPRES is open drain (meaning that the charger does not push voltage on that pin when it needs to be high, only that it shorts it to ground when it needs to be low; the voltage of the high level must come from elsewhere). If the resistor doesnt pass REGN6V voltage, the pin will remain in floating state. Measure PR80 resistance.

I haven't removed them though to test if the work properly

Yes it is measuring about 83K onboard, one side 6V and the other 0V

from datasheet: ACOK AC adapter detection open drain output. It is pulled HIGH to external pull-up supply rail by external pull-up resistor when
voltage on ACDET pin is between 2.4V and 3.15V, and voltage on VCC is above UVLO and voltage on VCC pin is
275mV above voltage on SRN pin, indicating a valid adapter is present to start charge. If any one of the above
conditions can not meet, it is pulled LOW to GND by internal MOSFET. Connect a 10kΩ pull up resistor from ACOK to
                                    the pull-up supply rail.

So ACDET pin has correct voltage.
                                    Also pulled high trough PR80.
VCC pin is much higher that SRN pin.
VCC above UVLO? What is the UVLO?

                                          Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

                                          🛠 Original Issue
                                          The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

⚠️ New Problem: One USB-C Port Only Works in One Orientation...

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
                                          by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

                                          Good day Experts
                                          I have a lenovo Legion pro 5 16ACH6H with AMD RYZEN 7 5800H and RTX3070,.

A weird issue has troubled me. If i power on off the laptop 20 times then only power LED will lit but no fan spin no display. At this stage gpu, vram. DDR voltage. 5v 3.3v 1.8v and the rest are present and cpu core is stuck at 0.84v.

And sometimes lets say the 21st time it will boot perfectly and there is image and everything is working perfectly and at this stage i see cpu core...

Have a acer laptop ex215-22 with motherboard part no daz8emb18a0 the issue is the battery gets drain overnight upto 25-30 percent even when switched off / shutdown.even after ssd is removed and laptop off with button the battery keeps draining.i have updated the bios but same issue have tried another new battery and the charging works fine only issue is battery is discharging when connected to motherboard in off condition.

                                          Hello guys!
I have a strange issue with my laptop keyboard and I'm lost trying to detect what's wrong - the KB9028Q-C or the keyboard itself.
It powers on OK and has no other issues except the following:
                                          • CAPS LOCK does not work at all
                                          • Fn button toggles Flight Mode
                                          • When I press 't' or '5', it produces 't5', and when I press 'y' or '6', it produces 'y6'
                                          • (with SHIFT pressed: 't%' and 'y^' respectively)
I initially thought it was a keyboard malfunction (internal short, etc.),
but when I press and hold...
