i haven't found any short on this board but it doesn't power up and the battery doesn't charge. i've removed the two n-channel mosfets at near the charging port and they're not damaged. i can't seem find a path to ground on the pads for either of them. is this normal?

Re: 14" razer rz09-0195 dead
Unfortunately, i think no schematic or boardview is avlbl for this model. I too got a razor notebook recently and in my case 2 fuses were blown and one vrm ic was bad all located near to onboard cpu. Dont remeber the exact names but fuses were probably named as PF suffixed with a number. Eventually after replacing all the components , it turned out to be bad cpu as well-so returned the unit to customer as unrepairable.Comment

Yes, when one of the VRM chip dies, usually the CPU doesn't survive.OpenBoardView — https://github.com/OpenBoardView/OpenBoardViewComment

And another question can I know if the VRM chip are bad?I mesured on the pads one the fuse and I have one pad with 200Kohm and the other one 5.1ohmComment

by BalkanBoyHi,
today I got Razer Blade 14, Ryzen 9 6900HX and RTX 3070Ti.
Laptop was completely dead. I found shorted CPU VRM mosfet, shorted 19V mosfet and blown battery fuse.
I replaced it all, but still on CPU coil where mosfet was shorted I got very low resistance, near 0 ohms. On other CPU coils I got around 3 ohms.
Laptop now raises voltage on whole board, but still nothing comes on the screen. CPU gets 0.7V on all coils except the shorted one. CPU gets only slightly hot, below 40 C.
I removed coil and injected 0.7V, it draw around...09-27-2024, 12:44 PM -
by mgrharryWorking on a Razer RZ09-0410AE22. The owner tried to replace the LCD on his own but forgot to disconnect the battery (
). System now does not power on and shows no signs of life. I've removed the board and done some quick measurements on the top of the board showing steady 19v power. Photos are attached.
Some guidance on further troubleshooting would be appreciated.
Thanks....05-16-2023, 07:28 PM -
by vicentemjHello,
I already flashed main bios 16mb from official site without success, my laptops has every normal voltaje that i can measure and i think the 8mb bios is corrupted.
C1_MB PVT V3.0 20180315 GTX 1070
I look for a dump or if anyone can look for my backups (16mb and 8mb)
thanks-

by double_DDHi all,
As the title suggests, how can I be sure that my EC chip is really dead?
I've recently gotten into this hobby of laptop repairs, and have successfully brought back to life a couple with some easy fixes, mostly shorted caps.
Now I'm working on HP Probook 455 G8, that had some "devil" run around on 3V line, burning a bunch of stuff. Luckily I have a dead 455G7 (for spare parts) so I managed to fix it (swapped burned parts) to a point that it will charge (both on barrel jack and usb-c), but it doesn't want to turn on. There is a 3V3 on a keyboard... -
