Hello,
i have HP 250 G5, i replaced the back cover and hings. and every thing is ok unless i try to close the screen, the laptop still working and not going to sleep.

i know that should be a sensor some where on the screen to sense the status of the screen. if i close the screen the sensor know that and bring laptop to sleep. if i open the screen the sensor will bring the laptop wake again.

i'm trying to search but not found any sensor there.
i was thinking it was software issue, and trying to go to the power options. but every thing there fine.

There should have been a magnet glued to the lcd assembly, on the opposite of the laptop there is a hall sensor somewhere. Hall sensor reacts to magnet and laptop knows that you have closed the lid.

the magnet glued, you think its on front cover or in back cover?

take off screen front plastic and u see the magnet on side of panel

Yes, guy's. i solved it. the new cover and hings have no magnet. i added one, then every things goes fine.

first to find the location of the sensor i pass an external magnet on the body of the laptop beside the keyboard, until the laptop goes sleep.
