Have you bought it yourself to say for sure that it comes as such a kit?Comment

Re: svod programmer
Okay, but here's another question.
KB9012 programming is the same as programming of KB9022, IT8586 etc programmable IC-s?
I am asking because flashrom has included KB9012 programming in their latest version and since I am using flashrom for other programming purposes anyway, I would rather continue with it.
Edit:
Looks like programming is the same so I think I will order a new chip and try it out when it arrives.Last edited by RethoricalCheese; 08-20-2018, 09:23 AM.Comment

Re: svod programmer
ENE KB9xxx has an SPI bus directly available for flashing. As long as the software recognizes its id you should be ok.
ITE IT8xxx uses another interface AFAIK and you can't just flash it with a regular SPI ROM programmer.OpenBoardView — https://github.com/OpenBoardView/OpenBoardViewComment

Re: svod programmer
Might be so. I just found out that other KB9xxx can be flashed with that but didn't search for IT/MEC compatibility yet.
Edit:
BUT, looks like IT85xx chips are supported aswell. Not 100% sure tho.Last edited by RethoricalCheese; 08-20-2018, 10:28 AM.Comment

Re: svod programmer
The creator of the vertyanov is called (S)ergey (V)ertyanov,he`s based in (OD)essa in the ukraine.I don`t think he`s involved with the SVOD project from some of the comments ive read at vlab (dot) su ,i could be wrong though .Comment

Re: svod programmer
I am not referring to Sergie Vertyanov. If i am correct, SALVOSKIA is the main Engineer behind the Project and the S may be stand for his name and other letters for other members in the teamComment

by STKR123Greetings badcaps community,
I havent done this for a long time and want to start it all again, after some evil and annyoing illness.
So I apologize in advance, if some phrases might sound a bit like gibberish or illogical to you.
Im trying my best to fully describe what I plan to achieve and hope I was choosing the right sub-forum for my new adventure.
I have a Elitebook 820 G1 and a Elitebook 840 G2 here.
These ask for a password when entering the BIOS, but boot just fine from the internal SSD.

by VcemPzdHello everyone !
My name is Chris, I am a 30 years old embedded software developer working in the automotive industry. I am really passionate about learning new skills and repairing/crafting stuff. I came around this forum last week with the goal of repairing my faulty gaming laptop, indeed, I was video editing on it when suddenly a black screen popped and never disappearedI bought some stuff to try to repair it and learn as many things as possible about computer repairs but nothing worked so far. When the black screen appeared, my legion 5 pro was connected to my external monitor...

by TeeheezeThis is a shot in the dark, but I was just using my RT809H programmer and it got stuck in a certain state so I power cycled it. Now, the device LED just flashes quickly and does not connect to the software. I've tried to update the BIOS of it and it fails. I went so far as to remove the ROM from the programmer itself but it's some weird chip (I believe ATMEL, but I can't find any datasheet on it) so I've been unable to read the BIN from it w/ my other programmer. Chip has ATMLHC4C56BM CN written on it (I think). I'll upload an image. I have the programmer's BIN ready to program it manually. Anyone...

by ZixuTechStart getting windows based machines with blown SuperIO/KBD controller ICs. Seems like IT80 serries cant be programmed with CH341. Although there is some info for KB90xx controller here - http://dangerousprototypes.com/docs/...ith_Bus_Pirate Doesnt look like NeoProgrammer supports IT8xx series
What do you guys use?
I was looking at these options:- RT809F with ITE SMBUS adapter - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008719739481.html
