    Is this a stuck pixel or some think else

    Hi my hp elitebook 6930p developed a black dot that has grown over time on the front of my screen.

    Is this time for a new screen or could it be a graphics issue..I have added a photo of the screen .

                The Tft layers are parting in the screen causing the pixels to be stuck black. Not sure why this happens just alot of us I guess.

                  Yes, that looks ok. You can sometimes find new screens cheaper if you search by the screen model number instead of the laptop number. It's on a sticker on the back of the screen.

                      Out of curiosity will it damage my laptop even more using it this way till i replace the screen or should i not use it .

                        Wont damage a thing, though the blob could get worse or maybe better.

                          ok cheers will keep using and replace when it gets a bit worse.I only use it for automotive diagnostics anyway.
