Compal IFL90 turns on, but screen and vga port is dead

I accidentally plugged the connector from "Camera Conn" JP3 header on page 42 into "Inverter Conn" JP37 header on page 18. When I turn on my laptop, the fan spins up, the front panel lights turn on, but my laptop does not boot. I probably fried the KB925QF on page 34, correct? Is the KB925QF a chip that the laptop manufacturer custom programs? There are some KB925QF chips on Ebay. Could I have damaged other other components (resistors, diode, inductors, caps) on page 18?

    Re: KB925QF replacment

Do you get backlights on the screen to see anything on the screen?
What does it do if the camera not connected to JP3?
If you look at the power pins and the GND pins are setup for the JP3 header and the JP37 header, I would think the camera circuit may be damaged, and switched MOSFET for +INV POWER may be damaged.
The inverter is probably OK and not damaged when plugged into wrong connector JP3 but the power +5V line on pin 1 of the JP3 may have been grounded out.
You need to check the power pins of both headers. Things get damaged when power and GND pins are connected wrong to the loads.

The screen is completely black. I shined a bright light on the screen, and I did not see an faint image. The problem in the original post still occurs, if the camera is not connected to JP3.

I connected an external monitor to the laptop's VGA port and nothing appeared on the external monitor's display.

            Here is another manual.

I measured the voltage of each pin:

            Inv_pwm 0.13v
            DispOff# 2.62v
            Dac_brig 0.11v
            Inv_pwr 19.38v

MacBook Pro 2011 turns on with keyboard light , screen dead
                by Rav_tangle
Hi all , thanks for having me & I think this has been asked before but my case seems a bit odd.
I have a MacBook Pro , board 820-2915a and it turns on , chimes etc etc , keyboard lights up, fans spins , can turn caps lock on/off but screen is dead.
Iv tried the resets , shine torch through back logo , nothing , it seems the screen has no power. If I plug charger , it charges but if I disconnect battery it displays green light but won't turn on. Iv tried screen on with another board & it works & seems I'm not getting any voltage at pin 2 , next to ground pin .
                is this...

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
                by smic717394
                Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

                Hp Elitebook - Dead Screen
                by NeilMcG
                Hello all,

First time posting, so please be gentle 😂

HP Elitebook 850 G2 Win 10 with Intel HD Graphics 5500.

                Screen dead, but booting.

I connected it to an external monitor via both VGA & Display Port outputs and external monitor works fine, nothing with F4 or detecting another screen in settings.

Got a replacement panel, still dead & still displayed to external screen as before.

Removed CMOS & left it. CMOS reconnected, all as before, no panel, external monitor works.

                Got replacement cable...

Here is a pretty crazy one.

                Step 1.
Laptop was brought to me as dead not working. Removed everything , cleared everything.
                Step 2.

Some liquid damage close to the Type - C connector, and the connector even though it was cleaned wasn't charging the battery . Removed the Type-C port, and replaced it. Now the laptop turns on and charges battery. Shows external screen , not internal.
                Step 3.

Took out the screen and checked it to a secondary Gen 2 i have, screen works like a charm.
                Step 4.

Lets ,dive into the board. I see the edp cable on the...
