I guess in the Apple computer it would be the firmware.

          A genuine battery ?
Try clearing the NVRAM also and see if that helps.

            Re: [help]Macbook pro 15 a1286 won't power on

the battery i mounted is not genuine.

i've done also a deeper harder test the "apple service diagnostic" but it didn't find anything strange...

so i've done another time the "nvram" reset, but this time i've waited the third going. now it boots very fast but a problem still remain. after some minute of use, it become very slow with the arrow of the mouse very slow...i don't understand why!! it's like i'm using a pentium 2 with 128mb of ram!!

strange thing i'm noted is that, at the third reboot of the "nvram reset" i've a large horizontal line on the screen fill of like artifcats. then it disappear and it boots normally

UPDATE: confirmed beyond any reasonable doubt that it was the Lizone battery that caused issues. It wasn't my machine or user error: I found a seller on another site with original, authentic apple battery. It was about $15 more, but it worked perfectly from the moment I installed it. Nice to finally have my machine functioning properly again.
              **********

Received my first one, popped out the old original battery in my Late 2011 Macbook Pro and installed this one. Turned machine back on, worked fine for a few minutes before serious lag began. Reinstalled battery, restarted machine, reset SMC and lag continued. It would always work for a few minutes after turning on before the lag began. Removed this battery and reinstalled original apple battery and lag disappeared, computer worked fine. This confirmed for me that it was the Lizone battery causing the problem. But before long that original dying battery died completely. This Lizone battery has such high ratings that I assumed I must've just received a bad one, so I ordered a replacement from Lizone. It arrived, I installed it and it suffered from the exact same problem: lag so severe it made the computer virtually unusable. You could shut the computer so it fell asleep for a few seconds, open it and the lag would be gone for a minute or two before appearing again. This is clearly a product that does not work properly with some machines, my Early 2011 Macbook Pro included. After reading other reiews, that I should've read before ordering, I see that several other buyers with 2011 MB Pros have this exact issue.

Side Note: After returning the first Lizone battery and waiting for the second to arrive, I found out why a bad product has such high reviews when I began receiving phone calls and emails from Lizone offering to bribe me with a $5 Amazon gift card in exchange for an amazon positive review. Clearly other buyers have been willing to take payment for positive reviews. Congrats Lizone on buying your way into a best selling product!

                Ok listen,
if a temperature sensor is not accessible from the system [faulty, missing or not connected] then the system it too damn slow to do anything because it drops the speed of cpu as a precaution of overheating.
At your case could be the sensor of the top case keyboard or the battery.
You have connected the keyboard of top case?

HP Envy 13-BA1565na with intermittent power button
                  by themosttogain
Hope someone can give me some suggestions on this because i'm at my wits end with it...

I have an Envy 13-BA1565na here with an Intel Core i7 i7-1165G7 CPU (board is a LA-J475P Rev 1.0) which has an intermittent power button issue. The power button is integrated into the keyboard, and I have ruled out the keyboard, BIOS and battery as being the issue.

Basically, on mains power, the power button works fairly well. The first time you come to it after leving it sitting (either on charge or not on charge), it might take 2 or 3 presses of the button, but then the laptop boots...

General question about MacBook power rails for repair.
                  by SarcasticOP
I am looking at an A2337 and found this for the order of power rails and what they do. Can this be confirmed before I dive into hunting down power rails that do not exist or are not neccisary?
                  • PPBUS_G3H (12.6V-12.8V)
                    • This is the main power rail that supplies power to the entire system. Check this rail first, as it must be present for other power rails to work.
                  • PP3V42_G3H (3.42V)
                    • This power rail is derived from PPBUS_G3H and is used to power the SMC (System Management Controller) and other essential circuits. It should be present if PPBUS_G3H is working correctly.

                  by reessi
                  Hello,

With the power button connected it either boot loops with the apple logo or no display but the charging meter shows it looping on charging every few seconds.

                  No corrosion any where!

Tried a replacement power button off ebay and the same.

Very occasionally it will work with the power button connected!

Same results with or without the battery.

Can it be a fault with the Audio board or the mainboard?

The touch Id assembly connects through the Audio board first then to the Mainboard.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                  Assuming...

Asus FX517ZC charges but power button does nothing
                  by TimeRabbit07
                  Hi all!

I've got an Asus FX517ZC on the bench at the moment and I just can't figure out what's going on with it.

Here are its various numbers and identifiers:
                  Model short: FX517Z
                  Model long: FX517ZC-HN114W
                  SN: NANRCX01S57842E
                  CN: 3SDB 12M
                  MFD: 2022-10
                  Motherboard model: DA0NJLMBAE0 REV E

                  Symptoms:
The laptop's charge light comes on, but when the power on button is pressed nothing happens. No fan spin, no caps lock, no screen or keyboard backlight, nothing.

                  History so far:
                  The...
