      Ok I got the q7021 replacement chip, I installed it in place of the bad one ...
      The green LED is still turning on but the Mac is not turning on from the Magsafe only and It won't charge the battery ... Looks like it's time to check some voltages again ^^

        Well I've checked with 2 other working & genuine magsafe psu (60W or more) and they are not turning to green light ... Very strange ...

          Re: Macbook 13" A1278 2009 (K24) No power

          What is the needed signals/power sources needed to be able to start from magsafe ?
          I did check again signals around Q7000/Q7001 and it seems better than at the beginning :
          Q7001 : pins 1/2/3 => 11,43V, pin 4 => 10,4V , but pin 5 is still around 0V
          Q7000 : pins 1/2/3 => 16,7V, pin 4 => 15,1v but pin 5 is still around 0V

          CHGR_DCIN (pin 2 of U7000) is still 0V, I though that it could be because of a dead D7010 (red circle on the attached image), but it appears that pin 1 of D7010 is grounded ... Possibilities are a dead U7000 or a dead C7010 ... But C7010 is not critical so not sure if it could be the problem...

          BTW is this possible to check D7010 knowing that pin one is grounded and pin 2 is connected to ground by a 39,41 Kohms equivalent resistor (R7010+R7011) ? I'm afraid that it could be dead as it's pin 1 is grounded and pin 2 is connected to 18,5V from magsafe ...

              Just one thought : if D7010 was OK, as it's grounded, PP18V5_G3H_CHGR (= voltage on pins 1/2/3 of Q7000) should be 0 instead of 16.7v right ?
              Am I right and it means that D7010 is dead, or I'm missing something in my logic and having 16.7v for PP18V5_G3H_CHGR is normal in this case even with an OK D7010 ?

                  chgr_dcin must be 16volt. q7000 pin 5 must be 5-7volt to open gate and give voltage to pin 5

                  check if u7000 pin 2 is shorted. if yes remove u7000 and see if pin2 voltage come in.

                    I didn't check if it was shorted but it's still 0v, so I guess it is ! I'll check anyway when possible !

                    Pin 1 of D7010 which is grounded is connected to pin 2 of U7000, so pin 2 of U7000 is actually grounded also ! Ok I have no choice, I'll remove U7000 ... I'll be my first try to remove this kind of component wish me good luck

                      by Rezendes
                      Hello, I am looking for any and all files related to the mainboard for 820-2565-A (13" Macbook Pro A1278 mid 2012) schematics/board view.

                      I looked through forum search results and google and was unable to find a board view file, I found a pdf of all the schematics but I don't know where the parts physically are on the board as this is my first macbook board level repair attempt.

                      The macbook charger has a green light, the battery has been replaced and OS reports Normal status but Not charging. After cleaning a corroded capacitor it crumbled off the board. There...

                      Subject: Help Needed: MacBook A1278 (3115) No PPBUS_G3H Issue

                      Hello everyone,

                      I'm working on a MacBook A1278 with the 3115 logic board and facing an issue with no PPBUS_G3H voltage. Here's what I've checked so far:
                      1. U7000 Measurements:
                        • Pin 3 has 0V, even though R7012 shows 16.5V from PPDCIN_S5_CHGR.
                      2. Resistors:
                        • I measured R7010 and R7011 with one leg disconnected, and both tested OK.

                      Based on these findings, I believe U7000 needs to be replaced. However, I have a related question:
                      • If I also decide to replace the SMC, do I need to order it pre-programmed,
                      ...

                      Hi everyone!

                      I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.

                      I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...
