    Macbook A1278 (820-2936) No power. missing SMC_BC_ACOK

    Hey! This is a A1278 macbook 2011.

    Problem: Not turning on / No green light

    Im using by3200s charger.

    Voltajes:

    PPBUS_G3H = 12.26v

    SMC_RESET_L = 3.3v
    PP3V42_G3H = 3.42v

    U7000 =

    Pin 1 CHGR_AGATE = 0v
    Pin 2 CHRG_DCIN = 19v
    Pin 3 CHRG_ACIN = 4.6v
    Pin 10 SMBUS_SMC_BSA_SDA = 3.3V
    Pin 11 SMBUS_SMC_BSA_SCL = 3.3V
    Pin 12 PP3V42_G3H = 3.42v
    Pin 13 CHRG_RST_L = 3.3V
    Pin 14 SMC_BC_ACOK = 0.8V
    Pin 19 PP5V1_CHRG_VDD = 5.05V
    Pin 20 PP5V1_CHRG_VDDP = 5.03V

    Im not getting SMC_BC_ACOK output line from U7000 isl 625. i already change the IC and put it in another macbook just to try it and the IC it does turn on in the other macbook and the one that was on the other one put it on the "Bad". So, is not iSL problem.

    Some times the macbook just turn on while is conectect. maybe bad SMC?

    i also made a jumper on PP3V42_G3H 3.42v line to pin 14 of U7000 (ISL 625) SMC_BC_ACOK (just to try it) and the macbook turns on.

    Thanks in advance guys.

    What is the 820-**** markings of your motherboard?

    Remove all power. Meter in DIODE mode. Red meter probe to ground. Black meter probe to CHGR_ACOK. What is the measurement?

    Be sure the soldering is ok for this U7000. Flux it well and allow for the solder to melt and sink in this component naturally onto the pcb pads.

      Hi, mon2 . thanks for taking the time to answer me. I was just trying the macbook with the jump wired and at the moment that i remove the jump wired for tested without it. Now the macbook turns on normally.
