According to the full model 20TD00GNUK i get only these options, you can enter the serial number at that web site to get the exact parts used

    Mars1.0INTELFRUCABLEMars1.0IntelEDPCABLEIR
    Part No: 5C10Z23917

    Camera,HD-IR,Front,2MIC,ZIF,Azw
    Part No: 5C20W42992
    Substitutes: 5C20W42993 and 5C20W42994

And it says exactly what you posted SC20F27116 (for 5C20W42993), so it's an IR webcam, on the regular 720p cameras if i select only 20TD the number on the sticker is completely different

You can click on the images on the lenovo parts site and check
The serial number is: PF3JCYGJ (i had written above... ) again it shows 2 camera suitable for that laptop as a replacement .

Oh my god imagine receiving another cable that it's not compatible with that hahah in 2 weeks haha...

      You meant
      Camera,HD-IR,Front,2MIC,ZIF,Bsn Part No: 5C20W42993

      Camera,HD-IR,Front,2MIC,ZIF,Azw
      Part No: 5C20W42992

They're equivalent, both IR, listed as substitutes for each other, the LCD cable is the same 5C10Z23917

Likely they grab whatever supplier they got cheaper for a given batch

EDIT: Go figure, I just got an ebay ad on this forum (browsing from my phone) for "EDP Screen Cable+RGB Camera IR Cable DC02C00MF10 for Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen2" Coincidence?

        Indeed.

I will sell the other one, with the exact details, as we have found out (you basically) on eBay when time will come for someone to buy it ,because that way i 'm just throwing money... 2 weeks left ...

Yes , the day has come.

Yes, the cable arrived , yes i changed it, also i changed the fuse just to be sure, and just to be sure the FPC connector. The laptop doesn't anymore shows signs of ground beeping ,and it can power on with charger connected and ,screen cable connected.
I cannot believe that the cable was the problem that didn't allow it to turn on.

          But!

The laptop still shows in external screen but internal screen doesn't . But the new let's say symptom is that the screen flickrs like it tries to show something ,for 0.000001ms it does like a flash from black to backlight black but again still remains the same.

I did update the BIOS to the latest one to be sure, again same nothing changed....

          I have given up.

Does the screen show an image if you shine a flashlight to it?

EDIT: Now we have to figure out what prompted your customer to replace the LCD cable in the first place, so I think the original fault is what you have now

            Measure +LCDVDD_CON, BL_ON and PANEL_PWM

No backlight , i tried maybe to see a logo or something as usual to understand 100% the problem , but again nothing.
The flickr of the image is ... imagine a black color and then if you press the power button for a split mini 0.00001 sec like a spark it shows a change from black to ultra black ... if i can explain it somehow ,the black light up a little.

              Other than that nothing more.

Where , to check those lines ?

I still cannot believe, that he tried to change the cable , and did a hole in the FPC connector , and it could happen due to the old cable

Schematics post #9, board view post #11, the boardview posted by "Lisa Su" you unrar, then rename the extension from GE4B0.fz to .tvw, open with flexbv free

like a spark it shows a change from black to ultra black
I think i understand what you mean, on IPS panels when off they look black even when shining a flashlight, when the panel gets energized gets a bit blacker before backlight comes on
On TN panels when off it's a dark green color, more noticeable with a flashlight, then turn black when powered on

LCDVDD is pins 18-19 of the LCD connector, you can measure it at CG11, CG24, or at pin 1 of UG1, should be 3.3v
PANEL_PWM, pin 8 and BL_ON, pin 9 of the LCD connector, those go to the back of the board, the boardview will help identify some resistors where you can probe those signals

Measure with laptop powered on, lid open, keyboard facing down on the table to make it easier for you
You should also get the enable signal (3.3v) at pin 4 to enable UG1, and the output should be 3.3v

Voltages look fine, the panel is getting power
Try doing an LCD self test according to the e15 gen2 hardware maintenance manual

                            LCD Self Test
When you turn on the computer and the LCD goes black, run LCD Self Test to help you determine whether the LCD functions normally.

                            To run LCD Self Test:
                            1. Ensure that the computer is connected to ac power. Then, press the power button for about seven seconds to turn off the computer.
                            2. Press Fn, left Ctrl, and the power button at the same time. If the computer displays five solid colors in sequence across the entire screen, it indicates that the LCD functions normally.
                            3. The test lasts for about 20 seconds and then exits automatically. You also can press the power button to exit the test.

                                    No ,it was returned.

The screen is 100% working. As it has been tested to a 14" that i have on the side , it works like a charm (it's the original screen of the Lenovo ,as i have teared apart the sticker of the screen) it was never opened.

R4618, it's either a 0 ohm resistor or a trace, according to schematics it should be "high"
Or at DG13, it could be missing but the pads are there, if it's bypassed by R4618, sometimes the engineers place parts on the schematics that are not used in the final production version...
