got here a liquid damaged alienware
the laptop had damage in the area of the kb9542qf2 all sorted and now laptop working and turns on but i have no display
so if i start and connect usb-c display it works otherwise it is giving me the 2red and 7blue
so with the usb-c external monitor is getting to bios and OS
otherwise not
so if it is in the os and i connect another lcd via onboard hdmi it is working no problem 2 lcds (1 usb-c + 1 hdmi)
but still not the internal monitor
(tested 3V and 5V going to the...

it was liquid damage and after cleaning i got to this stage
i tested external screen that is ok
but external mice nor kb
so i m asking if anyone had similar issue so no time waste
or if not then just where to start
yest it is charging and ruing from battery and running same as on internal LCD and on external LCD
kb got the 1.8v and 3v3 present
there was liquid damage only on the area of the GPU wing just till the speaker amps
any ideas please

the laptop has a wierd GPU problem
the GPU is there when you start the laptop and has the yellow exclamation mark in control panel
when you try to reinstall the GPU you install the driver and all OK
but when you restart same thing (the GPU is there when you start the laptop and has the yellow exclamation mark in control panel)
anyone has any idea
some are telling that the bios need to be downgraded
i did try to re-flow the GPU twice just to be sure but no change at all
so bios i think best option....??... -

the laptop came as no power as one rail was short (pom2 was short and as result the dc in fet was gone pob11)
that is fixed and now EC - PLT_RST# present so laptop should work
did try multiple bios and EC bios but not working

the issue is with the main lcd backlight as iti is not getting power via the IC X08Y 2176 not sure what this is but must be kinda switching component for light as it is getting 15 volts in but not passing over ...... plan is to bridge in and out temporarily to allow for the customer to use both lcds after testing lcd not in short on the light side ......... -

hi this is what i m getting after laptop came in as DOA and i replaced the GPU and all started to work as a FET was damaged and so ram over-voltage .So i had lines on parts of the picture .So OK i replaced all the GPU ram and again the GPU just in case and no luck all same .no idea what to check now as laptop is working going to OS but lines are there .....
OK small notice when i move the mouse over the lines the lines go for moment....
any ideas will help
