C7023 black probe to GND pin 1 and pin 2 high resistance over 1,200 kohm, while if I put black probe on pin 1 and red probe on pin 2 I measure 2.7 ohms.

2R7 sounds high. Confirm the resistance across R7021. Then test resistance across R7022. Each should be 1 ohm.
Also confirm again the dual diode @ D6902. Be sure that it is not leaking. Measure in diode mode in each direction with your meter. Respectively, the output voltage to ground of this dual diode @ pin 3 must be stable. Then voltage to ground of PP3V3_G3H @ R6923 must be stable. Check both sides of this resistor @ R6923.Last edited by mon2; 08-25-2024, 08:40 AM.Comment

resistor R7021 R7022 I confirm they are 1ohm, when the battery plate is connected I have all the voltages in loop, even the PP3V3_G3H voltage, while with the plate not connected, the voltages are ok.Comment

the battery is 74% charged, the laptop does not turn on with the battery connected, as I have said several times as soon as I connect the black flat cable the Mac does not turn on the USB ports loop up to 5V, the mosfet without the battery has voltage, with battery I have no voltage.Comment

with only the black cable connected to the battery. mosfet:
Q7065 pin 1.2.3.5.6.7.8 voltage 0.998 v
Q7065 pin 4 gate 0.0v
while with black cable disconnected:
Q7065 pin 1.2.3. voltage 12.61 v
Q7065 pin 5.6.7.8 voltage 12.61 then drops 11.45v in loop.
Q7065 pin 4 gate 4.5v then rises 12.61v then drops 4.5v in loop.Comment

with black battery flex cable disconnected:
SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SCL voltage 3.41v then drops 3.23v in loop.
SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SDA voltage 3.41v then drops 3.23v in loop.
with black battery flex cable connected:
SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SCL voltage 2.95v then drops 0.900v in loop.
SMBUS_SMC_5_G3_SDA voltage 2.95v then drops 0.900v in loop.

What are the details of your power adapter?

I think you will be ok if using a 100W PD adapter with a certified 100W cable.

I have repaired many machines with this power supply, never had any problems of any kind, it is not a power supply.Comment

by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... -
by PITERPENYbrought in a working MacBook for battery replacement (swelled up). After replacing the battery it stopped turning on. tried connecting the old battery without changes. consumption with the battery connected and without the battery is the same 5v\0.200a on all 4 ports. replacing 9239 did not help

by AdrenalinTLHi Peeps.
Just a quick question please as I am by no means an Apple fundi at all.
Can a 'popped' battery cause the Macbook to be completely dead? Client said the battery definitely popped. It doesn't look swelled or anything but it doesn't switch on at all. No lights, no fans, nothing.
Also, using a 85W original Apple charger. That is working for sure. Does it need more wattage?
Don't want to go buy a battery for no reason.
Client is adamant is worked before the battery popped and I can't see any damage what so ever on the board... -
by gbooneHi, I was given this laptop by my uncle who said:
- It would occasionally shutdown if not plugged in
- battery had been replaced
- touchbar would "strobe"
After fully charging the battery, with bluetooth disabled, no LAN cable and only wifi enabled, the laptop stayed on (screen on) for about 6-8 hours. Allowing screen to turn off while not in use, and it went for over a day.
BUT
When powered off, it would at some point have a... -
by kurlandHi fellow repair gurus,
Liquid damaged A1707 was stuck on 5V. I replaced corroded CD3215 and SMC now successfully raises voltage to 20v.
The fans spin, the screen comes on and displays a "low battery" sign before the machine shuts down.
After that the screen and fan stays off but PPBUS_G3H continue to toggle every 4-5 secs between
- 11.4v (and 170mA current draw on usb-c power meter)
- 12.6v (zero current draw)
The toggeling occurs when battery is connected but regardless if external usb-c is connected or not. It seems... - Loading...
