RESOLVED! As posted in many other places online it came down to the wifi not turning off. I have written a script to turn off the wifi when the lid is closed and entering sleep, and to turn it back on when the lid is opened. Completely resolved the battery issues. The overnight drain is not quite 1%. Has not experienced battery drain since.

Some of the original readings I suspect were due to the battery simply being drained to zero percent.
