brought in a working MacBook for battery replacement (swelled up). After replacing the battery it stopped turning on. tried connecting the old battery without changes. consumption with the battery connected and without the battery is the same 5v\0.200a on all 4 ports. replacing 9239 did not help

Remove the fuse at F7000. Test again if this power rail is restored. If not, fault is in the isl9239 area. Confirm the power rails you can measure that power this buck boost regulator. Confirm the input and output current sense loops are matching the schematic resistor values.Comment

Confirm the voltage to ground on:
C7075
C7077
TBA_AUX_DET
PP3V3_G3H
PPVIN_G3H_P3V3G3H
Remove all power. Meter in RESISTANCE mode. Measure the resistance across C7023. What is the resistance in ohms?
Repeat to test the resistance across C7020. What is the resistance in ohms?Comment

by mferna14Hi, my dear friends., Maybe this might be a stupid question or something I missed or do not know. I have 2 MacBook Air A2681 (Indentical color & EMC #), both LCD screens broken. Before ordering the LCD Screens I confirmed both worked with their respective batteries & AC Adapters, & they did 100%. The LCD Screens came in today & I replaced LCD for the 1st A2681. (Removed Battery Terminal cable for both Laptops before installation of LCDs). Perfect Screen & Booted up fine. But it did not work with battery. I checked the battery connector & it was seated in well/perfectly....

by leonemax81Hi guys I have a Macbook a1707 with motherboard 820-00281, without liquid damage that behaves strangely, with the battery connected the Macbook does not turn on and the USBC meter stops at 5v in loop, when I disconnect the battery the Macbook turns on and works fine, I have already tried to replace the battery twice without success, as soon as I connect the black cable of the battery the Macbook does not turn on, it stops at 5v and in loop.

by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... -
by silver60618Hi Gang, Im working on Macbook Pro A1990, the battery connector was torn off during friend trying to replace battery. I soldered on the connector back, and created traces. The battery does charge (according to amp meter), and does power on battery only. But the signal detect line maybe done incorrectly, and the macbook shows "X" over battery icon, and "Service Recommended" on new battery
Can somebody point me to which of these connector pins is responsible for battery detect/data line? Pin 4 on schematic had a nub on the trace, im not sure if that is important,... -
by AdrenalinTLHi Peeps.
Just a quick question please as I am by no means an Apple fundi at all.
Can a 'popped' battery cause the Macbook to be completely dead? Client said the battery definitely popped. It doesn't look swelled or anything but it doesn't switch on at all. No lights, no fans, nothing.
Also, using a 85W original Apple charger. That is working for sure. Does it need more wattage?
Don't want to go buy a battery for no reason.
Client is adamant is worked before the battery popped and I can't see any damage what so ever on the board... - Loading...
