13 ohm is normal resistance for vga chip.

hi, if notebook doesnt start, first look for usual 3v and 5v always if present or not. then we can go on PL10 PL11 coil. check 3 and 5 volt here

if with battery charged it works ill focus more on the dcin circuit rather then charger problem

If the owner is correct, then pu10 should be fine, look for the charger ic PU1 fault or circuit around it.

By VIN do you mean the +ve voltage point on the DC jack itself?

If so check for continuity between the ground nearest to the oscillating voltage points and the ground on the barrel of the DC plug. A good adapter wouldn't work when loaded to 8v. You may have an open ground somewhere.

Firstly that CHG_B+ rail is confusing me, it doesn't seem to connect to anything else on the schematic. But that aside for now, I would try removing PQ5 and seeing if that has the same effect. I doubt the ceramic caps are shorted or else it would be dead. It looks to me like something closest to the CHG_B+ side of PL12 is causing the oscillation, not PU10 itself.

                                          Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

If battery is connected and usb-c power plug connected. It only works on battery and will not charge. I can however force it to charge by connecting the battery from a disconnected state while the power USB c plug is powering the laptop.

Additionally....to add to this strange situation. The usb-c power plug ONLY works to power the laptop on one side when inserted into the boards power usb c plug. If you rotate it 180 degrees, the board gets...

I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

i've got problem with Lenovo legion 7 16achg6 - no power, laptop on lab PSU does not draw any power/does not power on. While on original charger, laptop does show battery charge(orange led). After power button, top LED's are lighting up - CPU/GPU cold, only heat comes from battery mosfets (up to 45degree, which seems normal on this laptop). Checked First mosfets - correct reading Source and drain 20V - Gate 26.3V. Battery 15.4V, Bios 1.8V, Power button 3.3v. Checked on different BIOS - no change.

Board model: NM-D563 Rev 2.0 (AMD Ryzen...
