Have you already removed any component from the board? The cap I mentioned?Comment

Could you put the readings and where you probe in the photo? I'm not sure if you are measuring correctly..
My question was if you did anything to the board when the resistor was heating up. I know you removed the resistor but anything else?Comment

measured at 2000k and brings me 480 and goes up ... the components removed are only those mentioned before c26 and c20 ... when I removed the resistance I did not remove any other component ... the first component that I had removed was c26 then I removed c20 and afterwards I realized that pr12 burned and I took it off ... I didn't take anything anymoreComment

C26 = 0.1uF / 10V
C20 = 220pF / 50V
PR12 = 22Ohm (Not 20 or 220...)Last edited by KvnTM; 12-04-2019, 05:42 AM.Comment

yes thank you very much very kind ... but I had to take them in another motherboard how can I measure if they can go well? because on the cards the value is not marked ... with the tester how can I measure the value of the capacitor that I would like to take from another motherboard?Comment

by Anooc7Hi, This model has bottom mounted leds . Got it with right ride 1/3 of the display black. So I checked the 6 + and - wire that powers 6 different zones and found that the 5th zone was open, which opens 6th zone too makes the right 1/3 of the display dark. Opened it and found one blown led on the 5th zone and shorted that path using solder. So now all the zones works when I check it using the bl tester , but when I put everything back together there is no backlight! The voltage I am getting when neg to chassis is 387v. How does that happen? Still individual zones working with bl tester .

by lpraderiHello , for some time I was studying Quanta U9x/8x schematics and the option to use both type of screen (LVDS 40 pin / eDP 30 pin).
In some cases to use LVDS screen PCB use converter IC RTD2132/6
Now I found an HP 15 F series U99 mainboard with RTD chip not populated and LVDS 40 pin lcd touch screen
at the same time I have another HP 15 N series with Quanta U92 mainboard and RTD2136 with eDP 30 pin lcd screen (no touch).
Maybe someone more experienced in the subject can clarify if is posible to change type of screen used with some resistors / bios options change.

so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!!
what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!
i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...-

by THE GTCSo I use this TV daily as a second monitor for my PC or my Playstation - at one point a few months back I tried to fix the problem - but in the process, I figured out something that works so I haven't posted this for awhile. It is an annoying trick to have to do though, so I decided to post about it to see if anyone could spot what's wrong. It baffles me because it works on it's own half the time.
When I first got this TV, I was told it wouldn't turn on, and of course I did the flashlight test, and the image was there. Also, the red LED on the front indicated that it had power (it... -
Hi everyone, over the past few months i have taken a deep dive into motherboard diagnostics and I love the challenge. Currently im trying to learn all about the signals that travel around the motherboard, such as frequencies, enable signals High and Low logic states etc. And i have been learning to read and using the Schematics for this board that i requested here on Badcaps forum, from a few months ago, this is such a great place for these.
I’ve been working on a GA-970A-DS3 (rev. 1.0) that does not post. This motherboard has been my main learning board. I would like share...11-23-2023, 11:02 PM - Loading...
