Re: Dell D610 NOT recognizing the battery
Sounds like a bad battery to me.
Slight chance of busted battery pins/connector but more likely a bum battery.
They only last a few years.

If you didn't check it with a meter then you don't know it's 'full'.Mann-Made Global Warming.

Re: Dell D610 NOT recognizing the battery
Dell's have the push-to-test button on their batteries and an LED indicator bar. Probably that's what he means.
Quote: "I Hav Dell D620 start ac adater see battery led"
Interpret: "I have a Dell D620 (even though the thread says D610) that starts with the AC adapter and I can see the battery LED's"
Check battery for correct voltages.
See: http://www.laptop-junction.com/toast...-signal-timing
If everything checks good, perhaps something is wrong in the laptop.

Re: Dell D610 NOT recognizing the battery
Thanks for the translation.
To OP.
Battery charged + no battery icon = bad battery detection.
Bad battery detection can mean the LED is wrong too.
That's why I said if it was not checked with a meter then you don't know it's 'full'.

by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... -
Hello,
YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo
I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.
On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.
I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.
I changed the battery with a new and original battery.
I also had corrosion/oxidation on the... -
by danielsakHello, I have issue with Dell Inspiron 3542.
Motherboard marking:
Code:Cedar_Intel-MB 13269-1 PWB FX3MC REV: A00
- The first problem is that the RTC/CMOS battery self-discharges after about 2-3 weeks after installing a new battery. I have been installing different batteries (GP, Duracell, Energizer) and the problem still exist.
- The second problem is the LAN network card (Realtek RTL8106E), which is not detected at all in Windows. The BIOS is

by ipatchrecently i was gifted a dell inspiron 5567 for wiping the data on the hard drive. (yay me). however i already have a computer that i use, so i have no need for this computer. this computer wasn't without its problems though.
1. i had to purchase an adapter to retrofit my older style dell laptop battery cable. (not too expensive) ~= 10 bucks for a 2 pack via amz.
2. after that i had to find a spare cr2032 (easily found in my parts bin) and assemble a makeshift cmos battery thanks to some copper foil tape and some heat shrink tubing.
got the computer...04-02-2023, 04:45 PM -

Dell Precision 5510
Mobo code : LA-C361P
This one came in for battery replacement but without original battery, so original battery and charging history is unknown.
The customer said he bought the computer several years ago second-hand and was told that there was no battery inside but that he could purchase one if he wanted.
So we ordered a geniune battery for customer, plugged it in
RTC battery was also dead and it was also replaced. First boot up brought up warning message;
