    HP OLED_EN Signal Missing 13-AW2007TU -DAX3ACMBAF0

Hi all, I need help on this case, I'd appreciate your time.

Images for your reference are here:
    https://photos.app.goo.gl/dnpX1WMTgwE6aAq87

History: Laptop comes in with no picture or backlight.
Technician installs new screen, same issue. They tried 2 screens, same issue.
It has come to me and I can see they only probed the fuse with multi-meter.

As per attached schematics, I did some measurements for your reference.

    Re: HP OLED_EN Signal Missing 13-AW2007TU -DAX3ACMBAF0

I hope someone can shed some light on as to what's going on here.

When the LCD is not connected, the Pin 14 of the SM3201A is not grounded. When the LCD is connected, it's grounded. This is an OLED model so there is no cap at PC9223, but PR9206 exists. It's 0 ohms. So when LCD is connected, it's grounded. I've checked the cable, continuity is good all the way on either side, no short, not touching ground. I've checked the Pin 8 of the LCD and it's grounded, same with another screen. To me this says the PMIC SM3201A knows there is a screen connected, is this correct?

There is no datasheet for this chip. I don't have picture or backlight. Damn. Any tips?

Hi, on the CN3401 connector, check if you have the voltages on it.

The device completes the P.O.S.T. for sure?

Yes, it boots to Windows external screen.

Yes I've checked CN3401 area - no Voltages. Drives me crazy. A new screen arrived today. Same issue. I wonder if I replaced it with wrong chip, maybe SM3201A and SM3201 are different chip.

              Hey guys.

              Need help with this one.
Fan not spinning due to missing PWN Fan signal.
Also 5 seconds from powering up it freezes, unless in BIOS.
But as soon as Windows starts to load, it will freeze.
CPU is COLD / Room temp when it freezes.

I've replaced the CPU, same problem.
Replaced SIO/KBC IT8987e and reprogrammed - same problem.
              Replaced fan - same problem.
Replaced flex cable from board to daughterboard (which has fan connector on it) - same problem.
Checked the Thermal sensors around CPU and Board to the SIO/KBC and...

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a good day.

              I have a laptop sony Vaio, DA0HK1MB6E0, MBX-247. REV: E

The laptop suddenly shut down as the owner told me, so I did the normal check there is no short but the laptop it's not powering up and there is no light when I connect the adapter because there is no battery.

              so I checked.

Surface 7 - missing S3 sleep signal, S4 present but weird
              by Prott
              Hey fellow Badcappers
I am troubleshooting Surface 7 board (rev 1.0) which was working great until it experienced a short circuit due to a bad screen.

Now it's missing SLP_S3 signal. Everything in the power on sequence works properly up until that signal.

              - The resistance to ground on the SLP_S3 line is >50 kOhms.
              - No shorts on any powerrails that I can find.
              - I get a proper clock signal on the RTC crystal (XTAL_2P) once the Surface gets power.
              - SLP_S4 is, suprisingly, present, but it looks very weird (jump up to 2 V for about...
