sony vaio mbx-247, missing S5_ON signal

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a good day.

    I have a laptop sony Vaio, DA0HK1MB6E0, MBX-247. REV: E

The laptop suddenly shut down as the owner told me, so I did the normal check there is no short but the laptop it's not powering up and there is no light when I connect the adapter because there is no battery.

    so I checked.
    pu9:
    Vin: 19v

    Ldo: 4.89v

    Ref:1.99v

    Vcc: 4.89v

    Vdd: 4.89v

    output

    3.3v pcu.

    EN2: 4.89v

but No sign for +3v or +3v_S5.

also, there is no +5v_S5, I have changed the pu9 and the same result 5v still missing, so I tracked the Enable signal for the channel to the (KU1)

    Vdd: missing. (+3v)

    Vcc: 3.3v pcu.

    Avcc: 3.3v

    RSMRST: missing.

    5S_ON: missing.

    Power button: 3.3v.

    bios chip: U3 ( w25q32bvssig- windbond)
    pin number: 2 / 7 / 8 no volts.

so I ordered a new bios chip and installed it without programming it, and the result surprised me, all missing volts are appear including S5_on.

and now I have 3.3v pcu and 5v_S5.
but on the power button, I have 1.32v.

so I took it out and program it and the same old issue appears No 5v_S5 there.

I have tried many BIOS.BIN files and no change.

is this sign for bad (super I/O) do I have to change it? or there is something

    different I need to try.

See attached. You have no voltage @ +3V_SPI ?

If correct, then check the resistors that feed this rail as highlighted.

What are the voltage to ground for these resistors?

Which resistor is stuffed on your logic board ?

Re: sony vaio mbx-247, missing S5_ON signal

        thank you for replaying,

        I don't have voltage at pins: 3, 7 and 2. yes the +3v spl, +3v , 3v_s5 are missing from my board.

but if I programmed the bios chip with different bios.pin, all missing volts will

appear but (3.3v on the power button) will drop to (1.3v).

Where are you measuring the power button voltage ?

I measured it from the power button (pin -9) and KU1 (pin 108)

Be sure that you are measuring the voltage as follows,

Red meter probe on switch pin #9.
Black meter probe to ground on the logic board.

What is this voltage to ground measurement?

Now, press the power button and measure again while the button is pressed.

What is the voltage to ground measurement in this state of the power button?

The power button has 2 states, open and close.

We need to know the voltage to ground measurement for each state of this switch.

                red prop on pin 9

black prop on the ground, the volt is 3.3v.

Press the button, no response at all the volt fix on 3.3v and doesn't drop to 0.

update, I shorted pin 9 and the ground and laptop worked fine, then I checked the ribbon cable and it's damaged on both sides, I will order a new one or try to fix this then I will update you.

                Thank you.

                  Board : DA0FI2MB6D0
                  i measured 3V and 5V .is ok .
after press power button, i can see that all voltage present about 0.5 second and after this time ,except 3v and 5v ,all fall to zero.
i followed this Timing chart and checked all Signals. I noticed that up to SLP_S4#, they are all correct and durable.
                  SLP_S4# 0v > 3.3v (about 0.5 Second) > 0v
I noticed that from this signal onwards, all of them are present only for about half a second and then they become zero.
In addition, I did not find anything about a short circuit in the board.
                  I know...
