that guy on utube needs to stop.
i only watched one vid, but paying through the nose for something expecting a loose connection,
knowing fuckall about how it works, then trying to reflow a chip with insuficient heat and no flux - fucking insane!!
        that was an xbox1 btw.

incidentally, anything that wont charge - primary suspect is a fucked usb connector - but i think you discovered that before.

yes on that hudl1 i had even replaced the port with another onei had (untested) i then hacked a old usb cable and soldered direct to the board power rails the hudl started up fine then so ordered new usb board that fixed all issues then, but lets say the port was fine and battery fully charged and unit still does not turn on i guess next step would of been too test the power management ic?

well no, next step is to get a datasheet for it and check all the right signals are reaching it - incase of a surfacemount fuse or something failing.

Thanks ive got a 10 inch tablet here i can practice fault finding on (china brand cracked digitizer i cant find replacement for and it wont charge) ive tried a amp meter zero amp draw, the port looks ok but will solder wires direct to board too rule it out.

                The battery is OK???
                The charging PSU is OK??

Have you tried one of those custom Nintendo to USB Cables as its 5V to charge the WiiU Gamepad

Nintendo Switch picofly installed cause parental lock how to get Master Key for restoring OFW
                  by stormanimal83
i bought a use console from ebay fixed it and it has parental lock. seller wasn´t helpful and nintendo either cause they don´t support used devices as they told me per mail. thanks for the bad support here in germany. was totally upset as i read the answer to my mail from 1 week ago.... there was no other way to get rid of that code rather than modding the console cause i didn´t even had the device id as it´s a patched V1 and for getting masterkey on salthax there is the need to type in the device id which was unknown in this case... i did a mistake. after the repair i entered my wlan and...

Nintendo Switch lite shuts down after nintendo log and replaced M96T36o
                  by fab13
                  Hello everyone

After checking the defective USB-C port and close to a short circuit on the M96T36 chip (8ohm) I have changed both components.
I specify that there is no other short circuit or heating component(Vu thermal camera)

First, the problem arises: Error 2101-0001 after the start-up screen ("Nintendo" logo), poor soldering.

Secondly, I install a new M96T36 and the problem I have is a brief display of the "Nintendo" logo (no short circuit, no sure charge chip, no sure charge port, no sure charge management chip percentage)....

Apple MacBook A2442 faulty PMIC - Question about possible replacement
                  by arahban
                  Hello Gentlemen,

I am working on an apple MacBook A2442 board pn 820-02098-A with a visible short on the PMIC U7700 MVK-PLUS as per the schematics

I have a donner board from apple macbook pro m1 A2338 PN 820-02020 and I saw that the PMIC U8100 TMLT46B0-JPE could be a possible replacement for the U7700

Can you please help me confirm if the U7700 can be replaced with U8100 ?

APL1098 is it the same as APL1096

Thank you very much in advanced

                  Ahmad

PS5 stuck at restore and than no power for some time
                  by groomit
                  Hi there,
Tried to condense the problem in the title. Hope it was appealing for someone.

I bought a broken PS5 with 2 sek. BLOD. When it arrived I noticed the bad condition of the console housing, bent cooler pipes and deformed disk drive. Yeah , obviously very bad drop damage. And obviously not appropriately described in the offer. Because it was my first hand on a PS5 for an okayish price, I decided to take the risk.
                  It is an EDM-020 CFI-1116A.

First thing I noticed was wrong initialization amperage. It went to 450 mA an then dropped to around 150 mA. Figured...
