I guess this is some scrambled version of the mainboard vendor logo and the loading circle. Can you access BIOS and if so, does it display correctly?

Just gone into the bios and all looks like it should, interestingly it seem it only does it from power up not on a restart 🤔

In the video it looks like it also happens when starting the PC from sleep mode.

What exact model of GPU are we talking about?

You shoud try to update the GPU VBIOS, if there is an update available. Use GPU-Z to check your current firmware version.

Should check with another motherboard and display before messing with the graphics card.

Can´t see how the display would be at fault here though

The motherboard is a fairly new asus PRIME Z690-A (LGA1700) and both were working fine before I put this card in.

I just checked and it seems to be on 30 Hz with no option to change it, I plugged it into the other display port and that does not show the scrambled image on startup and its on 60Hz but if i touch the cable it goes to black screen like the connector is bad .

How does it work with the other connectors? Should have 3xDP, 1xHDMI, 1xUSB-C.

Did you check VBIOS version with GPU-Z? Latest version is 90.02.42.00.14. If everything else fails, might be worth to give it a try.

Make a backup of your current BIOS before doing anything (can be done with GPU-Z).

Flashing a new BIOS can be done with Nvidia NVFlash or with a USB programmer.

Latest rom for your card is here: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/...i-11264-200203

                        ---

Besides all the VBIOS stuff, check your display cable as well (just in case it´s that simple...)

It was just a dirty connector, it looked a bit dull compared to the other 2 ports so I gave the cable plug a squirt of contact cleaner worked it a bit now its working fine..

Lenovo Ideapad 5 15ARE05 startup issue
                            by db80
                            Hello friends,

I've been racking my brain over the past few months on the following issue:
I have a Lenovo Ideapad 5 15ARE05 laptop that basically works fine as long it starts up at all.

If you shut it down, often you hear the HDD still spinning and the Power LED remains on, it only shuts down if you force it (pressing the power button for like 15 seconds).
Then, if you want to Switch it on, nothing happens, only the Power LED lights on, nothing else. If you leave it, then after like 30-60mins it turns on itself.
I tried all the common alleged „fixes“...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                            by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                            Assuming...

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
                            by rounin
                            Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

                            🛠 Original Issue
                            The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

⚠️ New Problem: One USB-C Port Only Works in One Orientation...

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
                            by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

Alienware 15 R2 Service Tag: DL7NN32 ISSUE (Battery is not charging)
                            by Simone Vergani
                            Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with my Alienware 15 R2 (Service Tag: DL7NN32). The laptop works perfectly when connected to the AC adapter — it powers on and functions normally. However, the battery does not charge. If I disconnect the DC adapter, the laptop shuts down immediately, as the battery is at 0%. I have replaced the battery with a new compatible one, but the issue persists. I also replaced the AC adapter with a compatible one, but the battery still doesn't charge.

To assist with troubleshooting, I'm attaching two power circuit schematics:
                            • Power
                            ...
