Abit VP6:Need help about capacitor connection?

My board is abit VP6. After i remove the caps, i found that i may damage the board slightly. I guess The distance between the hole and the trace is too close. And i did a bad job of desldering. But i am not sure???

I am not sure whether the negative of the capacitor EC28(6.3V 1500uF) connects that circuit path.( A connects B???) A is capacitor, B is circuit path
The circuit path is at the back of the motherboard and Capacitor EC28 is located below the north bridge.

If anyone has the same board, please let me know.

    Thanks!

If anyone have the answer, let me know.

Just by looking at the pic, it looks like it does. Its been a while since I've done a cap job so I can't remember. My VP6s are running so I can't double check. If no one can give a definate by Monday, I will pull mine apart (they could use a cleaning anyway) and verify.

Hopefully, someone will be able to give you a better answer sooner.

I see the solder joints just below that has the tiny traces skirting around them.
Makes me think the spacing is tight but they would not be connected.
      Don't know for sure though.

i dont think that circuit is connected to the negative lead of the cap.
        the scratch doesnt seem bad
but you must fix that trace at the top of the -ve hole in the pic
i think it is difficult but some people here have done such fixes

must be careful about the heat when the traces are close to the hole!

The trace B in question looks like a ground shield for the controlled-impedance trace above it, probably an impedance-matched clock transmission/delay line. It could be connected to the ground plane at the capacitor pad (among other places).

Hopefully, somebody who has a VP6 will give you a definitive answer soon.

i looked at a vp6 i got in for recapping.
the cap pad is connected to the trace

for motherboard recap, u need high power soldering iron ~ 80W to 100W, best if temperature controlled type.

Here is my suggestion... on ur problem. Bty, is that trace connected to capacitor pad A originally ?

              Cheers !
