Hello Folks.
I have read through every thread I could find on this website and I don't seem to see anyone with the same issue as I have.
This monitor was working a week ago. Then all of the sudden it just went dark on boot up. The backlight is on, and no logo or image shows when hooked up to a working source. The green led stays lit.
Probably worth mentioning that for months before this happened the menu would pop up and stay on and flicker randomly. It should also be noted that I have 2 of these monitors and one of them is still functioning fine.
First I tried changing out the caps on the inverter board to see if I would get lucky. It seemed like everyone else was having luck with this and even though I had a functioning backlight I figured it's easy enough to do so I tried it.
There was no change. My next course of action was to frankenstein my two monitors together 1 board at a time to see if I could locate the problem area. Well much to my surprise, this did not yield any positive results. I ended up taking all 3 boards and the power switch PCB off of the working monitor and hooked them up on the faulty one. Still no Joy.
So.. I'm stumped..
my next guess is to investigate CCFL backlights, but honestly I don't know where to go. So here I am asking for advice..
I have photos of my Frankenstein job and the boards themselves, but figured they are fairly useless since moving all parts from the functioning monitor did nothing..
Thanks for any info..
