Removed the card working power and put under another monitor I'm trying to fix and everything works fine.

I did this test to see if it was a problem of lamps or the video card, but fortunately it is only a problem on the Power Supply board.

I reinstalled the power supply board monitor in its original and does not work!!! and as if trying to turn on but it goes in a loop and feels ta ta ta .....

          What have I done??

          thanks
If this the board with the electrolytic caps from China in the top left corner near the heatsink - what make were they?

Does it now not work in either monitor?

Re: Fujistu-Siemens LCD Color monitor B17-1 strange problem

hi, i have a fujitsu b19-2 lcd monitor; the screen started to became black just about 3 second (under a light is possible to see that the pixel still working). The power board is the same model that was posted by budm on 10-24-2012 in this tread (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...6&d=1351093232). I found on the power board two HERMEI LZ capacitors in the are of the inverter of the lamp, 150uF 25V purple color. I change them with two Rubycon ZLJ, but the problem remained. Then i changed the four capacitor in the top right position, two rubycon yxg 16V1000uF and two nippon ky 16v470uF with two couple of Sanyo WE-AX.The lcd has the same problem.
All the capacitor that i changed did't present bulge or burns are, and using a multimeter i verified that that the capacity is correct. Anyone has this problem after a repair work?

Re: Fujistu-Siemens LCD Color monitor B17-1 strange problem

On the left of the Board there are 4 transistors around two Blue caps.Suggest you check those, as failure of one or more of those transistors will give you the fault you have. You should check for short circuits on their pins,

Re: Fujistu-Siemens LCD Color monitor B17-1 strange problem

Hello everybody! I want to share my different problem and solution with this model B17-1, in case somebody else is dealling with it:
The monitor was starting, showing the Fujitsu Seimens logo, and staying block on that image; only on/off button worked.
The problem was one of the buttons from the control board that was in short when not pushed. It was a very strange situation.
So I just removed that button and the monitor started normally.

I had the same problem (black screen) in my P17-1
I replace the four capacitors as describe in previous articles.
                        It's working now!
