    Philips 37PFL9604H T-Con issue?

Bellow is a series of photos of a Philips 37PFL9604H.

Seems that is a T-con failure judging from the half screen picture.

However, applying force to the upper left vessel seems that the picture appears but is as bad as the rest half. Red tinting with slow ghost effect.

probably the panel ribbon? or the panel board itself?

I would say it is in tab bonding areas.

Thank for the info, video seems to provide a solution , however don't think it will be permanent...

But why the rest half of the screen is red ghosting?
In case if defective bonding areas only specific lines will be affective...

can this means a second problem to T-Con?

Grab the top right corner, and bottom left corner of the tv and twist (lightly) and see if the picture clears up. If it does its a panel cable.

VIZIO E70-E3 Half picture with half TCON
                by Fly_Among_Stars
                Hi,
                I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
                Main board appears fine, too.
I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
If both are connected, the screen is black.

If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and...

Philips 55PUS6804/12 turn on & off (probably backlight issue)
                by ovrax
                Hello everyone,

First of all, please excuse me as I'm quite new to this field.

I have a Philips 55PUS6804/12 TV. It turns on and off instantly (backlight flash). I personally think it's a backlight issue (faulty LEDs). Could you help me confirm my diagnosis?

I've checked and the T-CON seems to be fine. I disconnected one ribbon cable at a time at the bottom, but the problem persists.
The Ambilight works perfectly and stays on.

                No sounds.

                Thanks in advance.

TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?
                by x_orange90_x
Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

                Vizio P759-G1, Tcon issue?
                by EazyBone
Got this TV free. Guy said it tries to turn on and doesn't. I haven't seen this specific issue before but shown in video. Any way to test the screen to rule it out on these Vizio? Or anyone seen this issue before?

                Any help appreciated

                Hi,

                Checking voltages at TCON
Vin 12 V ok BUT ALL OTHER VOLTAGES 0

                VGL1 0
                VDD
                vcc19
                VGH 0

when connection to Left half screen cable disconnected - then other half becomes white and voltages shows down below
                VGH 27.96
                VCC19 1.89
                HVDD 8.31
                VGL1 5V
                VGL2 3.8
