    Lg w2284f

This is one of those displays with 12V external brick. I first noticed waves runing on both display (in image) and O-scope even though caps seem fine in the brick so far - will try with ATX PSU I trust, the frequency seems to be somewhat suspiciously close to 50 Hz.

In the meantime, I got this display with problem that the backlight is turning off after some time. It was supposedly tested with ATX with the same results. There are two independent transformers in the inverter, their secondary windigs differ for 3,93 % (4,01 % according to Fluke), may that be the problem? Protection from driving IC turning it off when current difference increases after some time?

It is borderline > 3% is usual for 2 sec to black but what is "after some time?"
10 mins an hour a day three weeks?
    Heat related? try hairdryer?
Power saving mode? sleep mode? on PC
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

I will test that, for now I only know what I've been told - after a while screen goes black, LED is still on.

Can still see the waves in image with ATX PSU, I think it may now be only related to the transformers. Caps inside have somewhat lower capacitance (probably due to it) but nothing drastic so I think they are not the cause. Will take O-scope screenshot just as I download that half-a-gig driver package

Here you go, it's even worse than first time…+12 V rail taken.

Those transformers are marked LE-CF22-0 080719B(or 8?)-KI, have found nothing about them at all.

Just got univerzal tester, it says it has inductance of 2,36 and 2,41 henry, resistance 923,6 and 959,5 ohm. I have already used the display on remains of different monitor where was bad CCFL and I did not manage to replace it.

So maybe for future LCD panel I get, but more like for education, I can now get some similar transformers when I know the inductance and replace them both, do you think it's worth it?

                Lenovo T14 Gen1 i7 10  nm-C931 (brick)
                by UADmytro
Hey! I bought a Lenovo T14 Gen1 i7 10 nm-C931 (a brick). The previous owner said he got it on eBay as a password-locked device and took it to a repair service, where they tried flashing something. The result: it doesn't turn on.

When I plug in the charger, the charging LED lights up, and the power button indicator blinks three times.

I downloaded the firmware from the official website, but it's incomplete. However, there is a firmware for the embedded controller (MEC1663). I did a mass erase via OpenOCD, wiped MEC1663 along with the EEPROM, and flashed an image from the...

HP 450 g1 keeps turning on even tho I shutdown/sleep . one way to stop the turning on cycle is pressing the power button few seconds thus force powering it off. But then sometimes it does not turn on at all but next day I try again to turn it on and it turns on....

Satellite PRO A50-A Not turning on after turning off Windows
                by khelane
                Hello
                A device with specifications
Toshiba Satellite PRO A50-A is here to replace the hard drive.
The hard drive has been replaced and there is no problem, but there is another problem, but the customer does not care to fix the problem.
The device enters Windows without any problem and works, even I put pressure on the CPU and graphics, but when I turn off the system through Windows, if I want to turn it on again, the system switches, but it turns off quickly within a second, and this routine continues. It is turning on and off within a second and soon it turns off....

Recently staring turning off more often, brightens set at 50% - monitor back side in PSU area is very warm to touch, also at front left corner getting hot.
When changed brightens set at 30% no longer turning off , and no longer I can feel any heat in this areas.

This can be signs of bad capacitors causing overheating PSU ?

Laptop turns on only on battery but if I plugged the adapter with battery, it is not turning on. After turning on the laptop using only battery (no adapter plug in), then plugging the adapter everything works fine also charging ok. Anyone have any clue what’s wrong?...
