supertech read what budm said, you have to dismount the 3 inverter transistors and retry..

numbers of each q203,q207,q206 readings were fluctuating I just picked the number it stayed on the longest.
          maybe I need a better multimeter .

            Re: Resistor question

you need to say if the results are ohms kohms, volts or what
also can you read the part numbers (numbers off the parts, not the board numbers

                Re: Resistor question

The 3 resistors MAY be ok but you may have your zero s mixed up.
They have on them 334 so should be 330kohms not 3.3kohms??
I suppose you had better check them again but at least they are not open.

I have been trying to get my head round something for a while - In your first post you say this monitor is an Acer 1906 and I have been looking at threads on that monitor to try and help us. Many things did not make sense and I am now wondering if your set it really an acer 1916 as there are very few hits showing this power supply with a 1906.

I still think the 3 Qs are bad (less than 30ohms) If one of them is a double diode can you test it as a diode. ( Reversing the leads and advising the result
                in both directions)

                  Re: Resistor question

the 3 resistors are marked "332", the 3 Q are transistor for sure because them are on the inverter area, i'm not usual testing them in ohm so i don't know if them are good..

SELLDOOR, and everyone thank you very much for trying to help me with this but I learned allot from you but I going to give up on this board. I buy non working monitors from recyclers maybe I will run into a Acer1906 with a cracked screen.
                    Thanks

You will never grow up if you give up at theese very basic steps, the next step is very easy, remove those 3 q , power up and see if led remains on.

We are getting close to the source of the problem based on the resistance readings of those transistors.

                              by TinkerTron
                              Hey everyone,

I'm currently working on a mid-70s Sharp Electronic Digital Clock Radio, Model FY-70CH. I found the service manual online, printed it out, and have been studying it for a while. My main reasons for tackling this are: (1) I want to learn electronics and figured I'd start with something I had on hand, and (2) I want to fix its issues. Right now, the radio sounds awful, has about 5V DC at the speaker terminals, and the alarm time setting doesn't work. But I'm not asking how to fix these problems.

Instead, here's what's been bugging me so far:
                              The schematic...

The resistor on this waterpik blew. I changed it with the a similar spec 47ohm 2 watt yageo resistor but it still keeps blowing the resistor. Checking with the multimeter the motor, capacitor, diodes, and thermal fuse all checked normal. Will a higher ohm resistor work better? What ohm resistor will work better to repair this waterpik? This video is showing the repair with a 56 ohm resistor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_J7_rV7ui1Y

Is it okay to replace 1/2 watt resistor with 1 watt resistor in AC/DC adapter?
                              by chth96
I have purchased an 100-240v AC/5v 2a DC adaptor from aliexpress, and a month ago It smelled burning when I plugin it powerstrip.
Since then, This AC/DC adaptor have been out of order.
But A few days ago,I replace 0.5 watt resistor with 1 watt resistor(1ohm) in this adapter.
After replacing resistor,It succeed to recharge all of android phone. And When I measure voltage on the two pins of USB port,It shows 5.5v
Is it okay to replace 1/2 watt resistor with 1 watt resistor in AC/DC adapter?
And Is there any possibility that it will suddenly explode as well as to be out...

                              by flat-earther
I have a Hoover FM216LI cordless vacuum which isn't charging its internal battery.

I opened up the unit, and it has 6x Samsung ICR18650-22P cells connected in series.
5 cells were at about 3.3-3.1V. one was at 2.4V, so I assumed this cell was bad that's why the vacuum wasn't charging so I replaced it with another 18650, but after that the problem still persists, the vacuum turns on a bit and then cuts out since the batteries are empty.

So I think the over discharged battery wasn't the culprit, it was a symptom of the unit not being able to charge its batteries....

Hi, while trying to replace a broken screen connector on the motherboard, I knocked off a resistor next to the connector, and the resistor vanished. I have tried to find out the value of the resistor by looking at the schematics, but I cannot find the value. The ID of the resistor, or what you should call it, is R6400.

I don't know if the resistor is necessary for the phone to function, and the connector is still not soldered on to motherboard. I have contacted Xiaomi and asked them if they know the value, but they want a proof of purchase, which I don't have.
