    Lg w2453v

I have a LG W2453V that initially did not start up. I found several bad caps so i changed all the caps on the secondary side. After this the monitor actually shows picture, but it is blurred.

Check the attached picture, there shouldn't be green/red dots everywhere. There is no signal cable connected, that is why it says so, but the same problem remains when connected via VGA. I have not tested DVI/HDMI yet.

What should I do about this?

Did you already re-seat the LVDS cable between the logic board and the LCD Panel?

i don't know if is possible to test it, but if you provide it a black screen signal from pc maybe you must measure 0v on all data lines on lvds cable, if you provide a red screen you can measure for example 0,2v on one line and a 3,3v on another, this for a well working monitor or in case of damage on the tcon board, if it isn't is maybe a scaler bd error..

The controller IC is obviously a suspect here, but can it be something else?

You are probably correct - but is the pattern of the extra image always the same.
What do you get with an all black image or all white.

the test that i've suggested is not suitable. you must use an oscilloscope with better 100mhz freq.

                Hi guys,

Me also have a LG W2453v with the same failure symptoms.
I have changed all capacitors on the power board (bought a kit from Ebay).
Today I received a new logic board from China ..... still the same failure.

When the screen goes black I use a flash light but I can´t find any image in the background. What´s wrong? Why no image in the dark background? I guess the logic board need some voltage supply from power board....

How do I fix this problem?

                TIA

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
                  by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                  Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Maldischarge-link that fixes it with replacing caps
                  by r-p
Starting this thread because Capkid doesn't seem to be reprogramming controlboards anymore (LG 60PZ950 with red maldischarge) and my game-plasma also has maldischarge (Hitachi 42PD3200). So I will grasp at straws to keep them running. I am extremely bad at throwing stuff away.

Is there any merit to this link?

Very short version: Specific caps seem to loose their capacitance and/or increase their ESR. This may cause the maldischarge. Replace them with better/bigger/newer ones and problem solved.

From the limited knowledge I have on the subject, I think...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                  by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Hello, Last week I bought the 50" Sony X80j tv everything was working fine, untill I plugged the tv in a ups power supply 650va the tv remote control became unresponsive and the TV became laggy after a while the picture quality isn't the same as before the tv seems less brighter and the picture is somehow blurry, people's faces don't look as natural as before, there is a mini orange-pink tint to the edge of people's faces especially in NETFLIX Dolby Vision like in One Piece ep1 Alvida skin tone, my intention was to protect the tv but something went wrong I checked the ups with a multimeter,...

                  Hello all,

This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...
