    Longtimers

Back several months ago I received a Dell 1801FP monitor. I put it up because I had several other projects going. Today I got it out to work on it. I previously found a thread on it and read about a solution to my problem. Now I can't find the Thread.

Now that I have been around awhile I know to subscribe to a Thread, but that does solve my problem today. I have searched the entire Monitor Forum with the search feature and can't find any mention of this monitor. Is there some way to search inside of Posts for this monitor? I searched on Dell 1801FP and 1801FP and just plain Dell. I scanned through all the Dell Monitors that came up on the search with no luck.

Perhaps you can search under the model number of the power supply. Many different brands of monitors use the same power supply.

SellDoor thanks for the postings. Neither one of the first two were actually about the 1801 there was just a mention of it in each thread. Your right about the two boards being different. They are totally different as one has backlights on it and the other does not. I have repaired an 1800 got it working and used it for two weeks. Finally sold it on ebay. Thanks for the help.

Guide me through repairing a Dell p2210f LCD ccfl backlight monitor
                by DanPoka
I bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...

Issues Reviving Old Dell 2408WFPb Monitor
                by Jesus Coder
                Hello everyone,

I have been having some difficulties reviving an old Dell 2408WFPb PC monitor that I received for free. When I first acquired it, the backlights of the display were on but alas no image was showing. After extensive research on the topic, I went ahead and purchased a new t-con board for the monitor. After installing the board, I was then presented with a new screen that was half black and half green (more so black). I have been unable to figure out what to do next as I have limited knowledge of display electronics. Might anyone on this forum have an idea of what may...

Dell 34 inch U3419W Monitor with thin stripes on partial screen
                by ChristianBr01
                Hello everyone,
I have a Dell U3419W Monitor that has some thin stripes on a part of the screen since Tuesday.
This lines cover about a third of the screen and appear for 2 seconds before disappear for another 2 seconds.
This repeats the whole time. I have not opened the case yet cause I had no time, but will try to fix it on this weekend. For me, it looks like a problem on the TCon... Am I right?
Does someone have seen this before?...

                HP adapter for Dell monitor
                by paparazzo79
                Hi guys.
I got myself used Dell 27" touch monitor but I got scammed again, seller sent HP adapter.
Though voltages are the same, I suppose power supply design is not the same.
So may I use it without any harm to the monitor?...

                Dell LED Monitor Model SE2717H
                by angelos
Hi Guys, i just have a question that is probably easy to answer if you have experience on such matters.
My Dell Monitors screen was damaged by lightning via the HDMI port. The monitor does come on but cannot display HDMI or VGA image. it says no signal.
I have ordered the board on Aliexpress. They say 100% working. Don't trust. it.
My question is, after installing the new board, is there anything else I need to do in order to make this board work. I know on some TV's you need to load software on the board to make it work but this is a monitor or even having to go into service...
